HowTo 004: Renew your fsx.cfg / prepar3d.cfg

This topic should explain how to renew/recreate your fsx.cfg / prepar3d.cfg with SIMstarter NG. Further explaination will focus on fsx.cfg instead of prepar3d.cfg.

 

Background:

SIMstarter NG is using a copy of the fsx.cfg. So just deleting the fsx.cfg won't work, because we have already the copy. The copy of the fsx.cfg is called "(MASTER)" in the Simulator Configuration. The file can be found here ".\data\FSX\cfgSet_simCfg_Master.cfg"

 

Requirements:

• SIMstarter NG

 

HowTo:

 

1) Open SIMstarter NG and open the directory of your fsx.cfg

 

2) Delete or Rename your fsx.cfg

I would recommand rename to fsx.cfg.BeforeRenew

 

3) Close SIMstarter NG (VERY IMPORTANT)

 

4) Start your FSX WITHOUT USING SIMSTARTER NG and make your initial settings

 

5) Close FSX and wait 30 seconds (ensure that the process has been ended)

 

6) Start SIMstarter NG > Simulator Configuration > Select Master Profile > Click Import fsx.cfg

 

7) Click "Yes" to the next dialog and you are done!

Dieses HowTo soll erklären, wie man die fsx.cfg / prepar3d.cfg mit SIMstarter NG erneuert. Die Weitere Erklärung bezieht sich auf die fsx.cfg.

 

Hintergrund:

SIMstarter NG benutzt einen Kopie der fsx.cfg. Daher würde das Löschen der fsx.cfg so einfach nicht den gewünschten Effekt bringen. Das Master Profil "(MASTER)" basiert auf dieser Kopie. Die Datei findet man in hier ".\data\FSX\cfgSet_simCfg_Master.cfg"

 

Vorraussetzungen:

• SIMstarter NG

 

HowTo:

 

1) Starter NG und wechsel in das Verzeichnis der fsx.cfg

 

2) Lösche die fsx.cfg oder benenne Sie um

Ich empfehle die Datei umzubenennen. Z.B. in fsx.cfg.BackupVorErneuerung

 

3) Beende SIMstarter NG (SEHR WICHTIG!)

 

4) Starte FSX OHNE SIMstarter NG und mache die initialen Einstellungen

 

5) Beende FSX und warte 30 Sekunden (nur um Sicher zu gehen, dass das Prozess auch beendet ist)

 

6) Starte SIMstarter NG > Simulator Konfiguration > Wähle das Master Profil > Click Import fsx.cfg

 

7) Bestätige den folgenden Dialog mit "Ja" und die Sache ist erledigt! :O)
