Trdsld 0
Just purchased my first Aerosoft product (CRJ 700/900) and so far all I can do with it is look at it. The aircraft loads with the battery switch in the ON position but there is no battery power. Flipping the switch OFF then ON does nothing. I loaded a default aircraft, powered everything up (including engine) and changed back to CRJ aircraft. It then loads with engines running but that's it. Battery switch is ON, but there's no power to anything. I took off with the aircraft in this state but it is mostly uncontrollable. Really disappointed that something so basic (and vital) as electrical power not working has made this a regrettable purchase.
Developer Hans Hartmann 3694 Posted May 27, 2018 Developer Share Posted May 27, 2018 No such issue is known, to be honest. Can you perhaps post a screenshot of your main panel (with yokes, if possible)?
Trdsld 0
Here are screen captures of the electrical panel configuration and the main panels. This is how the aircraft loads by default. I am running GoFlight hardware and have disabled them but no fix. I have used Avionics Master hot key but it has no effect. Please login to display this image. Please login to display this image. Developer Hans Hartmann 3694 Posted May 28, 2018 Developer Share Posted May 28, 2018 That's new. I half expected the yoke to be deflected fully left (= gauge DLL did not load due to missing/corrupt Visual C++ Runtime). The avionics master is internally synchronized with the battery switch. Try this please: Switch on DAVE (that's the tablet to your left), select "Aircraft State" and then "Ready for taxi". Does the cockpit still remain dark when you do this? Trdsld 0
Most of the time DAVE is blank just like the other displays. Pressing the DAVE power button does nothing. Occasionally (when loading from another aircraft that is powered) DAVE loads with the main screen visible, but clicking anywhere on it does nothing. So, I can't advance the screen beyond the main screen even when it is visible.
Developer Hans Hartmann 3694 Posted June 6, 2018 Developer Share Posted June 6, 2018 Do you actually use P3D v4.2? I'm asking because I don't see the usual "Academic License" in the top right corner. Or do you have the Professional License? 4.2 is the minimum required version for the CRJ. 4.1 will not do. If you actually have 4.2, please tell me which GoFlight hardware you have. Jov 5
I just installed the plane and tried to run it. Similar problem. I can operate switches, but nothing happens. The displays are blank. I run P3DV4.2.21.24048 Clicking on the tablet (that seems to be dave) results in nothing, I cannot access the menu there. Please login to display this image. Please login to display this image. Developer Hans Hartmann 3694 Posted June 12, 2018 Developer Share Posted June 12, 2018 I honestly don't have the slightest idea what can cause this. Another user had a similar problem in another thread, but he used P3D 4.1. The only obvious difference between your and other people's systems is the GoFlight stuff. Can you tell me which hardware you use and if you have a switch assigned to the battery. I'm aware that you disconnected the hardware, but it's possible that the software still does something with the P3D battery key event. Or is there may be some FSUIPC setting that concerns the battery?
Jov 5
I don't use any GoFlight hardware, just a Logitech Joystick and I am not using FSUIPC.
Jov 5
I can start the engines with Strg/E but the displays will remain dark
Jov 5
Ok I found something: Runtime Visual c++ 2015 x64 is not installed on my machine. And I cannot install it because the system returns that a higher version is already installed. In Apps & Features, however, c++ 2015 x64 does not show up. And I am at loss, what to do now. Jov 5
I was able to find a workaround to install C++ 2015 x64 (x86 was always there); No change.
Developer Hans Hartmann 3694 Posted June 13, 2018 Developer Share Posted June 13, 2018 You need the C++ 2017 redistributables, not the C++ 2015 ones. But I don't think that's the problem because the gauge DLL is loading. Without the redistributables it wouldn't do that. All I can offer either of you is to take a look at myself via Teamviewer. Please send me a PM if you want me to do this and let me know when you have time.
Jov 5
Microsoft Visual c++ 2017 are installed (x64) Team viewer would be appreciated. However it seems, that I need to do a clean install ov p3d V4 since all kind of other things are not working anymore. I'll report back. Please login to display this image. Jov 5
After the clean install, it works. Thanks for your continued support! It is another example for what EDV means = Ende Der Vernunft Please login to display this image.
Developer Hans Hartmann 3694 Posted June 15, 2018 Developer Share Posted June 15, 2018 Weird. @JovHow clean was your install? Did you just reinstall P3D (with or without deleting all config folders?) or Windows as a whole?
Jov 5
uninstalled all add-ons and then P3DV4. I deleted all files on the C: drive that related to either add-ons or the sim. And I deleted all sim Files and the installation folder on the installation-drive. I did not delete things like AS2016 Weather machine or FS-Commander as they are not intertwined with the sim. I did not re-install Windows. It seems that there were problems caused by either - a failed windows update (the last creators update) that is not supported by my mainboard (ASUS) - a BIOS Update of the mainboard - a FSDT Live Update which I performed in quick succession, so I do not know, when and what really started. First, the FSDT Airports did not show up anymore, then the installation of the CRJ failed and then, yesterday, one PMDG plane was not registered anymore and could not be registered or started. That's when I decided to do a clean install. On the machine is only the Simulator, basic Windows components (including Windows Defender) and Firefox installed, so interference with other programs is not likely. Developer Hans Hartmann 3694 Posted June 15, 2018 Developer Share Posted June 15, 2018 Thanks a lot. This should help a lot for future support issues. As you can imagine, we're often sit here and wonder what the hell has happened because we can neither explain nor reproduce such issues in any way. Any recommendation to reinstall Windows or the simulator is usually frowned upon by the customer, so this is really the last thing we do Sometimes, there's just no way around it. @Trdsld Is it possible that your issues with the CRJ have a similar reason? Are there any other add-ons that cause issues?
Trdsld 0
I've been on extended travel and have not been able to keep up with this. I'm replying to your question posted on June 6: "Do you actually use P3D v4.2? I'm asking because I don't see the usual "Academic License" in the top right corner. I have P3D v4 Professional, if that matters. I am using the GoFlight Airliner Pilot System: Please login to display this image.
Deputy Sheriffs Tom A320 4915 Posted June 17, 2018 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted June 17, 2018 You are using P3Dv4.0. The CRJ requires P3Dv4.2. You need to update your P3D to the latest version. EDIT Hans: This is a bit outdated. The current version of the CRJ installer is 1.2.0 (with update to 1.2.2 available via Aerosoft Updater) and it requires P3D v4.
