Repaints, livery requests, repaint support

question to SAR71 ...

how do you get the stripes to align from the fuselage to the tail section? is it just trying out or did you know a specific trick for this? I planned a repaint too, with a similar stripe, and have no clue how to align this. also how to cut the stripe inside the rudder part, as the tail logo will be apart there, no ?

many thanks

Marc

Gudday,

Just posted my first repaint for the '8'. I think she looks gorgeous in the Air New Zealand livery.

I noted what appears to be a minor mapping issue at the base of the tail on the left hand side. Be interested to hear if the developer has found it. The liveries provided don't show it up so I'm guessing not.

Cheers.

Unfortunately there is no trick...only a lot of trial and error. You have to move the different parts pixel by pixel until everything fits. For the tail logo I would take a look at the liveries that are included in the paintkit. That gives you a good indication.

Great livery, Jon!

Sure wish Northwest Airlines would have flown the -50 series. They had a few -32 series for a very short time in the early '60's. They had three -50's and two -40's on order, but never took delivery.

Many thanks to those that have created the additional liveries thus far!!

Regards,

Scott

Since it's also a request thread, hopefully you guys won't mind one from me. There was one DC8-50s operated for Icelandair, initially operating leased as N916R and then registered as TF-FLB when Icelandair finally bought it. Here are some beautiful photos:

I'd like to see a Braniff too.  I was going to make one myself, but never got around to it.

I'll upload all four colour versions of the Braniff livery tomorrow.
