Hi

I don't know whether this issue has been raised before but please forgive me if it has, only that I have not been able to find it.

I am using PFPX 1.28.9i but when I go into the Route Database it always freezes and eventually crashes. This does not happen with 1.28.9c.

By the way, I have the latest Redistributables: Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 x86 x64 and also the 2017.

Any help / ideas / suggestions warmly welcome

Looks like you have a problem in the graphics board driver for your ATI board. Please check if there are newer drivers available and if so, update yours.

I think the problem is that he is running it in Windows on a Mac

That's right! Having said that, I have never had problems with 1.28.9c

I get my drivers from http://www.bootcampdrivers.com/ as they are updated regularly (apple bootcamp updates are few and far between). I'm running now Adrenalin 18.2.1 (latest available version for PC is 18.2.2) and this will be updated in  couple of days (that's usually the time it takes for the drivers to be made "compatible" with Bootcamp.

There are unofficial drivers but never had problems with them, all the contrary.

Anyway, thanks for the help. Appreciated.

  • 7 months later...

Just to update you guys on this problem. PFPX 1.28.9i continues to crash to desktop only but always when in the Route Database section which I update with each Airac cycle.

I'm running Windows 10 in a Mac (Bootcamp) and it does not seem to crash if I run the program in Windows 8 compatibility...
