Tek 0
I have tried looking while running the bit test and during supersonic flight. but I never see any movement of the ramps. are they modeled or am I missing something?
jcagle 180
The ramp movement that affects the location of the shockwaves is quite small, so the difference between subsonic and transonic ramp positions is easy to miss [first image]. Larger actuations of the ramps happens gradually from transonic to the very high end of mach limits [second image]. Faster actuation (i.e. larger displacements and lower Mach) would starve the engines of air and have a notable impact on thrust. Please login to display this image. I thought it wasnt working when I tried running the OBC bit and getting no movement. selecting the OBC bit should (per the natops manual) cycle the actuators through the full range of motion. they dont move an inch so that threw me off.
