Twin Otter for P3D v4 causes CTD (2)

This thread is locked, so I have to raise another one, since the problem is still there. What version is considered the latest? The web-shop states it is 1.21 and I have 1.21 and no updates are available. And the problem is just that: the P3D4.1 crashes to desktop with no messages right after the engines shutdown.

Yes, latest version is 1.21 dated 22. June 2017

To help you with your problem, we need a detailed error message. Open the Windows Eventviewer and check under Windows Logs/Application for an error message at the time when P3D chrased. Copy and paste here what you see in the window below under "General"

Hi Otto,

Thanks for the reply. This time when I reproduced it, it hung at first, not crashed. At the moment Windows registered 2 events. See info below. When I actually got CTD, no events were recorded.

  • 1 month later...

Im having this issue too, version is 1.21 too.

When using the Twin Otter´s GPS 2D panel zoom i get a crash to the desktop.

Im using P3D and the issue is only present with the twin otter GPS, no other GPS (default or addon) causes a CTD.

Following this thread.

Thanks in advance

Regards

Using the Aerosoft Twin Otter´s GPS causes a CTD. This issue is not found with other aircraft GPS (default or addon)

The next video is unlisted to protect the product from a bad image.

PD:

After trying other combinations, I disabled from my scenery library the Aerosoft´s LUKLA X MOUNT EVEREST FSX P3D (http://secure.simmarket.com/aerosoft-online-lukla-x-mount-everest.phtml) addon and the issue could not be reproduced (for now). Seems that Lukla doesnt like the Twin Otter´s GPS.

PD2:

I can confirm that the issue is only present when Lukla X is activated on the scenery library. Couldnt reproduce the issue when it was disabled. Also, it only happens flying in India near Lukla (happened to me from VQPR too short after takeoff).

Best Regards to the Aerosoft Team

Hoping to hear from you soon.

  • Deputy Sheriffs

I can confirm that there is a problem with Lukla not related to the Twinotter. I also get CTDs from time to time (not reproducable) with other aircrafts when flying around Lukla. As the Dev is working on a new version for Lukla, do  ot expect any changes in the current version. of Lukla

And you got log files we can look at?

Exactly as above post -  Terrain.dll. First one ever - but, I am using a mod to allow the Flight1 GTN 750 into the VC panel.

So, it may be down to that - I have scaled back on the detail displayed on the map screen of the GTN to be safe.

Tried again, and all was well.

Put it down to an aberration or the GTN !!!
