TERRAIN Alert

Recommended Posts

Good evening all,

For whatever reason, whenever I descend into an airport and reach 2500AGL, the terrain alert begins to play.  It happens at every airport, no matter what the terrain is.  It is just a continuous "TERRAIN" every 10 seconds with the Light on the Glareshield illuminated.  The aircraft never used to do this, and has just recently started doing this.  In seems to inhibit altitude callouts as well.  I've tried using the silencer just ahead of the throttles but no luck.  Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks very much!

Thank you for the response!

I've checked all parameters in the tablet which seem normal, and I've tried the radar tilted up and down and zero, and still get the warning.  I've found it to do it consistently right at 2,500AGL and the "GND PROX" light illuminates as well.  It stops if I establish a positive rate again, such as in the event of a Go Around.  The terrain radar shows all surrounding terrain as green, so I'm really quite baffled by this.  It did this both before and after todays update.  Really quite strange!

I've included some pictures, sorry I should have done that in the first place.  What you'll find in the pictures is that under normal operations, the terrain callout initiates at 2430AGL consistently, then it ceases around 2000AGL.  I've tried multiple aircraft configurations, gear up/gear down, etc, and they all yield the same results.

Can anybody confirm this issue? I am unable to see this.

Yes, happened to me too... But I always thought it is because I have set something incorrect, as I am not that much informed about the CRJ (time is missing to really read into the aircrafts systems) :D !

But I will do a flight this weekend after finishing learning physics (Please somebody help me), where I will record the approach preperations and the happenings at around 2500ft AGL ; )...
