chart not up-to-date?

Recommended Posts

Just bought your charts, but found that the charts may not up-to-date. For example, on the upper left corner of RCSS's LDA28 lists as 02-Mar-2017 but actually we have 24-Oct-2017, or at least 31-Aug-2017. Maybe I misunderstand something? Thanks.

The charts are up-to-date. And they are in general not updated on a daily basis. What you are referring to with your links is smoething totally different. Thats why it is called supplement, in this case effective since today and it covers temporary changes due to construction work. This is the reason why in real life people at airlines are permanently checking those things to make sure that pilots have the latest information regarding the airport they are flying to.

The date on the chart is the date when the chart was released, respectively when it became effective.
This means the date on the chart will indicate when the last amandment to the procedure became effective.

If there were no changes to the procedures with the last few AIRACs which required new charts, then this date may very well be in the past, sometimes even a year or two in the past.

Nonetheless the chart you got is the one that is currently in use for this airport, so it is current.
