Tobus 161
Maybe you've heard of it, maybe not: http://www.windy.com. very nice visualisation of weather "live" and in the near future, including winds, temps, precipitation, pressure systems, on the ground and at altitude. VERY nifty to decide on routes. I have noticed the forecast at Windy and my live weather AS2016 are spot on. I'm probably doing my long leg from Port Said to Mumbay not via a generally straight line but further north over Iran and Pakistan. This 150nm detour gives me 50-70kt tailwinds @ FL240 until I have to bend south into India, gaining me a lot of time and fuel. That is ... if the forecast holds ;-). AdamSAR 2
It is a very handy tool and provides some fantastic visuals! Just keep in mind that they often do interpolate data, so while they can be very accurate in areas that have many weather stations close together as you get to more remote locations they can become increasingly inaccurate and unreliable. Another one I like using is https://earth.nullschool.net/#current/wind/surface/level/orthographic=-101.61,30.07,
