We are currently repainting an old Twin Otter purchased from Solomon Airlines (Lucille is on it), and... puff! puff! (There's no so much time, Aerosoft, nh? :) )

I (Sergio) have put down a looong flight plan. I think it will be redrafted during the trip (I hope no when will be over the Alaska!)

Nice routing!

Thanks, Mathijs.

I've tried to replicate some focal places of the Verne's novel, like Parigi, Torino, Brindisi, and again Kearney, Omaha e Chicago in the USA.

Sergio:

Our DHC-6 300 Twin Otter 80DAYS is finally at Paris Orly. Not the best work for Lucille, but she didn't have so much time.

Lucille:

You're a monster!

You have opted for the same crossing point as I did, although Skyvector lists PASY as having no fuel service. I guess whichever of us gets there first will have to blag some Jet-A from the military :)

Ahahah! :)

I think that part of trip will be very tough regardless of fuel service.

This 80days will be tough.

Yesterday night, Lucille, at 19500 ft above the France, caught the sleeve of her jersey in the FIRE PULL of the right engine. And she accidentally pulled it out!

Right engine collpased.

At 19500 ft with one engine...

Lucille turned white.

Maurice was red-faced.

Me was committed to resolving the situation.

I contact Dijon tower for a forced landing. I had to work with rudder a lot in the descent phase.

The engine now is fully operative.

Some signs on the chassis to remind us to being concentrate. Even on our jersey...

Finally at Torino. Very grey, today.

I think we'll stay here for a day, before the long trip to Brindisi.

Let's have some agnolotti for lunch, stuffed egg pasta. :)

Oh.... that is bad... are YOU ok?

....what will you do now?

We are fine, thanks, Heinz. A bit shaken, indeed.

We called for rescues. It seems they will take us to Forlì (not far from Bologna), where Maurice can take a look at the engines.

Thanks to a friend of a friend of Maurice in Forlì that has connection with a distant relative of Giovanni Caproni family, who built the Caproni Ca. 164, we were able to find the spare parts we needed.
