DaveLTB 48
Monday 30th October - WITT (Banda Aceh, Indonesia) After some reflection I decided there was plenty of time in hand, so I would modify the flight plan and and instead of aiming straight for Singapore, we would make a diversion to Bali via Volcano Krakatoa. Adding the real life as well as the default/addon sceneries really gives the diary life. Did you use an addon weather? Sorry, if you have mentioned this before but just joined the trip at VOPB. DaveLTB 48
Monday 20th November - RJTT (Tokyo Haneda, Japan) Now things get both boring and hair raising... Money being no object, I decided to fly "as the crow flies" from Tokyo to San Francisco. We would achieve this by chartering five ships to sail to specific waypoints, each located approx. 800 nm from each other. Once each ship arrived at its assigned location, it would deploy a "sealane" of ocean-going buoys, and wait for our arrival. This is why I chose to fly a floatplane. We would spend each night on board the ship and replenish the fuel tanks bright and early to embark on the next leg. Please login to display this image.
