That would be a good idea, but I'm still stuck on a business trip and I don't know if the hotel wi-fi is good enough. I will be back in business on Saturday. What I could do those is build a gauge that logs the startup phase. This might help. However, I won't be able to do that before tomorrow evening either. Try removing the C++ Redistributable 2017, and installing the 2015 version instead. It's a long shot. If you need the link to the download, please see the thread below. http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/topic/114365-if-you-have-problems-with-the-airbus-do-this/ I have already tried this with no luck. And reinstalling Windows is not an option. I hope someone can find a fix soon. I am also willing to do a teamviewer as well but we be out of town all next week unfortunately. HeadlessHershel 2
Please let me know if you find a fix for this. I had the same crash during a decent into Flightbeam's KSFO tonight.
DaveCT2003 2553
Only for those having CTD issues when loading the CRJ from the cockpit/flight deck of a default aircraft: Would you kindly report the number of addons that you have installed into P3DV4? Please only report addons that used a P3DV4 installer, and please report addon aircraft, addon scenery and addon utilities (example: RAAS, FS2Crew, etc.) separately. Example: Addon Aircraft: 3 Addon Scenery: 10 Addon Utilities: 2 For those having this problem, you might try this: 1. Ensure you have uninstalled C++ Redistributable 2017 (if you have it). 2. Install the C++ Redistributable 2015 from the link below: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx%3Fid%3D53840 3. Uninstall the CRJ, and manually remove the left over CRJ folders from your main flight sim and SimObjects folders. 4. Uninstall one or more utilities including the RAAS that came with the CRJ. 5. Reboot your PC. 6. Run the Windows System File Checker Scan as per the link below: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/929833/use-the-system-file-checker-tool-to-repair-missing-or-corrupted-system 7. Download the latest version of the CRJ 8. Ensure computer security is disabled. 9. Right click the CRJ installer and "Run As Adminstrator", When asked if you wish to install RAAS click "No". NOTE: The recommendation not to install RAAS is not meant to imply any issue with RAAS, but rather meant to help prevent a known P3DV4 problem with the Addon system. But it seems that the very first time i select CRJ700/900 after i do a clean install it comes up and works. But then if i shut down P3D V4 it won't load again. I have also tried different versions of the CRJ and Different Airports including ones that are not in my ORBX region. Addon Aircraft: 3 A2A, 1 Carenado Addon Scenery: Just Orbx and Orbx Airports Addon Ultilites: Chaseplane

DaveCT2003 2553
This doesn't appear to be a problem with the CRJ software. Additonal information can be found at the following link https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/516667-ucrtbasedllntdlldll-crash-every-time-i-try-and-start-up-p3d-v4/ If you want to verify it's not the CRJ software, simply uninstall it, manually remove any left over CRJ folders, reboot and start P3D. Better yet, you can follow LM's debugging steps, see the link below: http://www.prepar3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6312&t=123246 Best wishes. Developer Hans Hartmann 3694 Posted September 26, 2017 Developer Share Posted September 26, 2017 This has been fixed already for the next version. As a temporary workaround run P3D as Administrator for now.

Both of these links gives me no answers to why my P3D works fine with everything else except the CRJ 700/900. I have both 32bit and 64 bit VC installed and have tried both 2015 and 2017 with no luck to run AEROSOFT'S CRJ. 9 hours ago, Hans Hartmann said: This has been fixed already for the next version. DaveCT2003 2553
It is difficult when we aren't able to reproduce this, and other customers are not having this issue. I know it seems difficult to understand, but not every addon aircraft uses the same software as another does. This means that while only one aircraft is giving you problems, it very well could still be that it's something on your system that is the root cause. In every single case where we've asked someone to perform a clean install of Windows and supporting software, all issues (including frame rate issues) have been resolved. It's not something we say or take lightly, as we know better than most what can be involved in doing this. My advice is to wait for the next update and see if that resolves the issue. If it doesn't, then I'm afraid you still need to troubleshoot your system. Not the advice I'm sure you want to hear, but that's the next logical step. I'd then go back to the links i provided, as they certainly do provide you with great information. Best wishes.
Benny66 0
Hi, is there a fix now, I have the same problem. I hope there is a simple fix by now. Same as the video on the previous page. At start off and in the sim when it did load properly with another plane (Mjc Q400) I don't want to start another thread for the same problem as other Thanks Ben
virtualstarling 0
Hi All, just bought the addon and have the same issues. I installed with Antivirus deactivated, as admin and followed all advices with C++ Redistributable 2015 but the plane is not loading. There are no issues with other planes. I have a 64bit, Windows 10, P3Dv4. What can I do else? UPDATE: Now I dont get the CTD but an error message about missing files: "Unable to open magdec.bgl" and other files like sound files. I checked the directory but the files are there.
Deputy Sheriffs mopperle 4161 Posted November 20, 2017 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted November 20, 2017 As the magdec.bgl is a default file of the flightsimulator and got nothing to do with the addon, you must have a more serious problem. Where did you install P3D and how did you install it (as Administrator)?

My P3D is installed here: C:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4; It was installed as Administrator and I have no issues with any other airplane like FSLabs A320, PMDG, etc... I just checked it and all of them are working properly. Only the CRJ have this issues. After following all your advices I dont get the CTD anymore but now it is unabble to load the "magdec.bgl" and the soundfiles from C:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\Ecosystem\Aerosoft\Digital Aviation CRJ\Sounds. I checked the files and all of them are in the right place. I started as administrator and also the installation was done with this. Antivirus and Firewall is set to off. But let's try this: Check if C:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\Scenery\Base\Scenery\magdec.bgl exists and that its size is 130.456 bytes. Assuming that all files exist in the right places, the current directory might have been changed. Either by changing the properties of the P3D shortcut (= right-click icon -> select "Properties") or some other software (something running within P3D) changed the current directory to another location. Example: Current directory is changed from " C:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4" to " C:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\MyAddon". Then the CRJ would attempt to load magdec.bgl from "C:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\MyAddon\Scenery\Base\Scenery\magdec.bgl" and not find the file. The same would happen with all the sound files. The path would change to "C:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\MyAddon\Ecosystem\Aerosoft\Digital Aviation CRJ\Sounds" and nothing would be found. If it's the shortcut, you can easily find out yourself by right-clicking your P3D icon and selecting "Properties" from the menu. The paths in "Target" (blue) and "Start in" (red) need to match. virtualstarling 0
Thank you for the hint Hans Hartmann. I checked the settings and both seems right, The magdec.bgl exists in the right folder and has a size of 130.456 Bytes. These are the settings of the shortcut: "C:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\" "C:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\Prepar3D.exe" It is really strange issue; I guess I need to reinstall everything and see if that will fix the issue. Thank you all for your help!
Benny66 0
When you say antivirus do you mean the stock Window one also? If so should I uninstall the plane and remove the stock window defender ??? I'm also on the default path on my C drive Ben
