Welcome to one of the world’s largest Virtual Airlines groups, Virtual International Airlines Group (IAGv), which has just launched on August 1st, and offers a real-life simulation of the group, which incorporates nine lead and regional airlines across four countries, while also allowing flexibility for the more casual pilot.

 

VIAG has 547 aircraft flying to 268 destinations and carrying more than 100 million passengers each year. Its founding airline ALVA has consistently rated as one of the best Virtual Airlines across the board.
Formed in January 2011, IAG is the parent company of Aer Lingus, British Airways, Iberia and Vueling. It is a Spanish registered company with shares traded on the London Stock Exchange and Spanish Stock Exchanges. The corporate head office for IAG is in London, UK.

 

This new airline group has evolved from the extremely successful and popular Aer Lingus Virtual Airline (ALVA) which has 15 years of experience in the virtual airline world.
In March, IAG launched LEVEL a new low cost longhaul airline brand that has taken to the skies in June 2017 with flights from Barcelona to four transatlantic destinations.
VIAG combines leading airlines in Ireland, the UK and Spain, enabling them to enhance their presence in the aviation market while retaining their individual brands and current operations. The airlines' customers benefit from a larger combined network for both passengers and cargo and a greater ability to invest in new products and services through improved financial robustness.
British Airways and Iberia are also members of the oneworld alliance. VIAG also use a sophisticated ACARS system in order to log flights for its pilots.

 

The airline incorporates certain category and airline criteria, in order to make the experience as true to its real-life counterparts, however pilots can earn wages which allow them purchase jump-seat flights for those off-work trips.
We also allow you, on registration, to provide us with a link to your profile of other VA’s to enable you to carry hours over. This will then have an effect on your ranking and the routes you can fly. IAGv is an extremely dynamic entity, with our route managers constantly updating the system, while also allowing for the entry of potential new airlines, mirroring its real-life counterpart.
