CRJ on P3d v4 and other running apps

Recommended Posts

Not sure if the title makes any sense, so here it is explained:

I have dual monitors and quite often - mainly during long flights - I open another app (Outlook or Word or any other ) on the second monitor. However in 30 seconds interval P3d "interrupts" whatever  I am doing on the other app. Not only its annoying but it also happens that  e.g. while typing on Word I use keys entry that affect my flying. My first thought was that it must be P3d and I looked everywhere for solution - no such luck! So my process of elimination, I used another plane and noticed that the phenomena does not occur . Actually right now while I writing this, P3d v4 is running loaded with TFDI B717 without any interference.

Any ideas how this can be solved?

Thanks

Most of our testers and all of our internal machines have multiple  monitors and we have not seen this issue. Can anybody confirm this and provide more info?

I do this all the time with Visual Studio, Excel, Thunderbird, Adobe Reader, Skype, Notepad++,... . Sometimes up to 20 programs are running, but I never noticed any temporary hangs.

Strange. I don't have this isseue as well and I'm using multiple monitors all the time. What I thought when I was reading your post was that maybe FSUIPC autosave does this interruptions. And you may set the autosave interval to every 30 seconds.

Please check this.
