Creating a Distance from a FIX alongtrack

I have attempted to search the manual and the forum for this so I apologize if this is already answered (probably in front of my face);  

Is there a way to 'create' a new fix that is along the track of the flight plan at a specific distance before or after that fix in the flight plan?  

 

For example only; in the 737:

FFF/#DD

Where: FFF Fix Name (Usually three or five characters) # = + (After fix) ‐ (Before fix) DD Distance 

 

I attempted to try and figure it out on the Fix Info page as well but could not

 

This is common for us to see as well as helps to put fixes along routes that have large distances between.
