Caribpilot 58
After seeing a few real world photos, shouldn't the landing lights have some reflection on the fuselage? Aerosoft Aerosoft Team [Inactive Account] 51558 Posted August 11, 2017 Aerosoft Share Posted August 11, 2017 What sim do you use? In the 32 bit versions it would mean changing complete external bitmaps when you switch on lights, something we do not intend to do.
Caribpilot 58
Hi Mathijs, I'm using FSX SE. I'm assuming that the lights are mostly configured for the dynamic lighting in P3D V4? if this is the case, then perhaps an option can be placed in the configuration manager for 32bit versions? Uhh - I believe you already got your answer... 4 hours ago, Mathijs Kok said: In the 32 bit versions it would mean changing complete external bitmaps when you switch on lights, something we do not intend to do. But as we did it like this the cockpit was flooded with light from the back. Reason: The landing lights dont cast shadows yet and penetrate the hull without any resistence. We will need some patience and hope that this will be updated by LM, as we will see this very often happen also with other wingmounted landinglights in future... Also the overbright buildings on airports are not our fault. It seems that the landinglights currently handle the ground and other objects differently. This must also be overworked by the sim makers....
Caribpilot 58
One more note, I'm not sure if this changes depending on the airline operator or the age of the aircaft, but the cabin lights seem to have a very "yellow/orange" colour. that seems a little different to real world photos which shows more of a white light in the cabin. Caribpilot 58
How about this one? http://www.airplane-pictures.net/photo/30802/oy-kfa-sas-scandinavian-airlines-canadair-cl-600-regional-jet-crj-900/ and this? Please login to display this image. I could be wrong but it seems like in the newer CRJs the cabin lights may have been updated?
