EastCoastCanadian 11
Good day, on the attached video I seem to have an issue with my yoke twitching only when I hit autopilot. I'm not stalling the aircraft or anything like that. I've tried different hardware and yokes and it's still the same. Your help is greatly appreciated IMG_1940.MOV
Hans Hartmann [OLD] 1419
VLC opens this video but the screen stays just black for me. Some other video players just give an error.

Hans Hartmann [OLD] 1419
Try Dropbox, Google Drive or Onedrive. Or upload it to Youtube as unlisted and then post a link here.

Eduard Gasull 258
Just now, Hans Hartmann said: No thanks. My PC is a no-fly zone for any Apple or Adobe products. hahaha so @Navigation will need to change the video format as .mov is the apple video format (the equivalent to avi ones in windows) and only quicktime will reproduce .mov for sure. EastCoastCanadian 11
In the meantime I'll keep checking stuff on my end it could be an issue with my controls or something. It has to be because no one else seems to have this problem
EastCoastCanadian 11
Ok I uploaded the video to you tube I'll paste the link https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=8wKYuGIWWVU as you can see every time I hit autopilot the yoke is twitching when I deactivate autopilot it's fine
Hans Hartmann [OLD] 1419
Video is not available. I think you set it to "private" instead of "unlisted". That way only you can watch it.

EastCoastCanadian 11
It's not like it with any other aircraft only the CRJ
Aerosoft Aerosoft Team [Inactive Account] 51558 Posted August 3, 2017 Aerosoft Share Posted August 3, 2017 Are you sure it not just a noisy potmeter? Or two devices assigned to the same channel?
EastCoastCanadian 11
What's a noisy pot meter? I'll check it out
Aerosoft Aerosoft Team [Inactive Account] 51558 Posted August 3, 2017 Aerosoft Share Posted August 3, 2017 A noisy potmeter is very common in older joysticks. It basically means the little potentiometers do not give out a steady signal but heavy fluctuating values. FSUIPC has a dampening function just to solve these issue until you replace the hardware. Ah ok I've got FSUIPC registered version but I don't know how to set up my yoke is it easy and can I just set it for one aircraft day as in the CRJ. also I tried a few different controllers and they're all the same
Aerosoft Aerosoft Team [Inactive Account] 51558 Posted August 3, 2017 Aerosoft Share Posted August 3, 2017 Okay, then I got to leave this to Hans. As far as I can see you are the only one with the issue so he will have to look for something that is interfering on your system. Never easy. EastCoastCanadian 11
By the way, is there anyway I can hide the yoke
Hans Hartmann [OLD] 1419
Click the black placard above the MFD to hide the yoke. I'm trying to reproduce the twitching right now btw. No results yet but I only just took off There is a result now. I use a Thrustmaster T16000M joystick which uses hall effect sensors which give it extremely high precision. With that the yoke movement is perfectly smooth. But as soon as I move the joystick slightly left or right, just below the limit where the autopilot disconnects, the yoke in the VC starts twitching like in your video. So, the conclusion is that the null zone of your joystick or yoke isn't large enough and it constantly sends signals to the aircraft. I'd recommend to re-calibrate the joystick/yoke and set a larger nullzone.
