Exterior shadow resolution

Hi,

 

Is it normal that the exterior aircraft-on-itself shadows seem much lower resolution than usual with Aerosoft A320 series? For example, if I fly the PMDG 777 at sunset, the wing will produce a nice clear shadow on the side of the fuselage. However, flying the Aerosoft Airbus in the same conditions, the shadow looks really blocky. Is this normal? I always thought P3D used it's own engine for shadows. I have them set one notch lower than max usually but even on max, there is no difference.
