NavDataPro v1.0.3.6 macOS Sierra - Not able to provide serial number

Just purchased the latest NavDataPro v1.0.3.6 and the mac os application doesn't ask for the serial number nor does it take the email & serial under the account screen. On exit an error message couldn't open prop_ini.xml is shown.

X-Plane 10.51r2

MacOS Sierra 10.12.1

Isn't this the standard procedure with all MacOS applications? Move them to "Applications" folder to install them?
