Low FPS after win10 update....

.... well it could be caused by the fact MS has activated Game DVR, a feature that allows you to record video. It's of course silly to have that run all the time and it has been shown to cause stutters and FPS drop, mostly on Nvidia cards! Switch it off by opening the Xbox app and clicking:

Or with a Reg tweak for those that are not afraid:

 

• Open Registry Editor (Run > regedit)
• Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\System\GameConfigStore
• Set the value of DWORD "GameDVR_Enabled" to 0
• Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\
• Create key "GameDVR"
• Create DWORD 32bit called "AllowgameDVR" and set to 0
