fmgs.dll Crash Issue

Hi all,

new to Sim, well home sim anyway, have been working around aviation for a few years.  recently decided to go the whole hog and build a home sim.  Running:

Microsoft Windows 10 Enterprise
HP Z440 Workstation
Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-1630 v3 @ 3.70GHz, 3701 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s)
16.0 GB RAM
NVIDIA Quadro K2200

500Gb SSD

2 x 22" IIYAMA and 1 x 24" HP Monitors

Saitek flight control system X52 (rudder, stick and throttle)

IPAD running (VAI for PC) with Virtual CDU A320

Additional Modules: Airbus X, FS2Crew, GSX, VATSIM, ActiveSky, and many textures, airports and additional scenery files.

Absolutely love the product and realism having been on the flight desk of many air to air refuelling A330's jets, I've been really impressed with the entire configuration.  however, running a flight today from EGLL/EGPH I was instructed by center to change heading and fly direct to to a different VOR.  I re-programed the FMC to fly direct using the DIR button, shortly after the sim crashed with the following error:

I've been reading the forums and can see that this has been around for a while, its the first time the sim has crashed on my and the only thing I didn't different was to change my heading to a new vor via the FMC..

What I couldn't find on the forum was an answer as to why this is happening, I can re-create the issue running the same flight and almost instantly does the same thing, so its definitely related to changing the VOR in flight via the FMC.

Could anyone please assist with a work around or hotfix, I would like to get this running before running a long flight.

Thanks in advance,

Neo
