Navdata + chart bundles vs. existing subscription

I currently have a navdata subscription running until november 2016.

 

Let's say next month, I buy a one-year subscription to charts + navdata, how would I go about avoiding overlap of the two navdata subscriptions?

 

Could I get both navdata subscriptions merged (extending navdata access to one year plus the remaining from my existing subscription)?

 

Alternatively, could I get a prorata refund on the existing subscription?

 

Or am I "out of luck"?

 

I could go with just the charts for now, though a similar issue will arise when my navdata expires: the charts subscription will still be valid, barring me from taking advantage of a charts + data bundle then (unless I write off the remainder of my charts subscription).

 

Basically, pending an official upgrade path, it seems the only guaranteed solution is to write off the remainder of my navdata subscription and get the bundle going forward, which is arguably fair but not particularly appealing from a customer's perspective.
