briansommers 1
In the real world do pilots have to go through the whole complete checklist EVERYTIME they turn this plane around? Or do you have to do the complete checklist once then can you start at the engine start section or ?? Thanks
Deputy Sheriffs The Dude 6537 Posted June 10, 2016 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted June 10, 2016 During a turnaround we have a reduced list. We do not have to test or check every system again if we have already flown the aircraft. In short we switch on the seatbelt signs again, push the ground ctrl PB on the overhead panel for the voice recording, feed the FMGS with the new routing and all stuff related to the new sector (FCU, RAD NAV etc). Before starting the engines we set the parking brake on, APU on, fuel pumps on, beacon light on and transponder to standby and we are good to go to read the before start checklist. I consider the green ones discretionary after the first flight of the day.
