Wilco 777 & AES compatibility problem

Recommended Posts

Not only have I get a lot of smoke but as soon as the pushback connects to my Wilco 777 the rear wheels go into a "take-off position. When moving backwards the aircraft is very bumpy.

Maybe because in the set of rear wheels the last set are digged into the ground and the front ones high in the air.

When I hit the F3 key the aircraft flies into the air, the default F3 for the FS2004 is for the FULL TROTTLE. Maybe this also contributes to my problem.

Any suggestions to get my Wilco 777 to work with the AES. The gates are fine.

How can I attach a photo to explain what I mean.

Hello Christiaan,

Pound to a penny it'll be the contact points on the aircraft that will need slightly adjusting. The wheels will go to this position as this is the position they are when lifted off the ground and as the pushback is basically performed in slew mode this will happen. I have the Wilco 777 but not had this problem yet. But let me take a look.

Hello Christiaan,

Before altering the following please make a backup of your Feelthere 777 aircraft.cfg which should be in the following folder.

*:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator 9AircraftfeelThere B772 ER folder.

Now copy and paste the contact points section below over the Contact Points section of the aircraft.cfg and then try the Pushback in AES. The wheels will be slightly lower into the ground but hopefully the aircraft wont take off. I have tried this down to 30% fuel in each tank and it seems fine here.

Dear Shaun,

Many, many thanks for your message, I replaced the contact points with yours but no change. I took a couple of photo's to show what my problem is but I do not know how to attach them with my reply. I do not have this problem with other (777) aircrafts. I have not had any answers from Aerosoft or Wilco about this problem with Wilco & AES when I wrote to them on their support pages.

Maybe you have a suggestion

Best Regards

Christiaan

Hello Christiaan,

When posting you'll see underneath the box where you type a place where you can attach files, it says Filename in bold and a Browse button use the Browse button to show it the path to your Jpeg pictures.

Also in your Intelliscene.cfg are you settings similar to the ones below for the Feelthere 777

[Descr]

Type=B772

[Geom]

Nosegear= 21.7

Door1=-2.75, 20.65, 5.25, 8

Door4=-2.8,-22.75, 5.25,-4

Front= 3.05, 12.05, 3.3

Rear= 4,-15.7, 3.3

Hi,

in the past, the static_cg_height value, you find this also in the Contact Points section, was the critical part.

I would expact, that this value is >17.xx in in your case. Maybe you can try to reduce this value, maybe in steps by 1.0

When it works ok, go up in 0.1 steps until you reach the critical point.

When you change the value is the aircraft.cfg, I think you don't need to restart the FS, only select the same aircraft again from the menu, then the new cfg will be read and you can make the next test.

Many, many thanks for your fantastic help, Shaun for your Intelscene file and to Oliver for the height.

I changed this to 17,1 along with Shaun's file everything is perfect.

A small question for Shaun, you do not happen to know the co-ordinations for the door for the second jetway as at the moment only the first jetway moves.

I am very gratefull to you both.

Best regards

Christiaan
