Adjusting eyepoint in .cfg

Featured Replies

Has anyone had to adjust the VC eyepoint in this aircraft? I am a little off to the right of center in the cockpit. I always thought it was my trackir, but I played around with the sensor location and the clip and basically no matter what I do I am still off to the right. I used the P3d command to move the eyepoint and that centers it temporarily, but when I hit my trackir center hotkey it moves it right back to the original position. Then I tried the sim without trackir and sure enough it is off to the right a couple clicks (without trackir the P3d 'move eyepoint' command centers it during that session). I have a feeling this is affecting my landing grades :P

Then I happened to notice these two sections in the aircraft.cfg file. Wondering if any adjustments here might help?:

the first section defines the default vc viewpoint Position. the second one (under [cameradefinition.xxx])defines custom viewpoints in the VC.The position of the custom VC eyepoint will be referenced from the default one in this case. changing the values under "eyepoint" will change the default view and hence the custom "pilot" view. Keep in mind that your y values are already set to zero, so the problem might be something else

ok, thanks for the info man...I will try some other settings. I'd rather be flying than messing around with views! Lining up on the cat has been the only real issue.
