Ever since the new update, I've had a persistent, yet untraceable button push sound in the cockpit (in FSX... haven't tried P3D yet).

 

It happens even when the sim is paused. It's not a repetitive pattern.. it comes at odd intervals, but it is persistent and continuous - even when the engines are shut down.

 

I've managed to pinpoint the ASC sound file that is playing - "Sound_ASC_button_soft.wav" - but I can't trace the source of the sound. The constant playing of the sound is causing a persistent stutter every time the sound plays and then reloads. For now, I've taken a blank sound file and renamed it with the above file name and have temporarily replaced the original, but I'd like to try and trace the source of the problem since it is obviously continuing to happen and the blank replacement will take that sound away from other buttons that use the same sound.

 

Any thoughts??

are you using lua/ Joystick scripts? maybe you are sending a command to push/toggle something unintentionally

I am using the F-14AB Lua scripts for my Thrustmaster WH throttle and joysticks, however I've checked it repeatedly and there's nothing assigned in FSUIPC that I can't account for.

Yeah I have the same problem sometimes but I found it is a button on the joystick, more precisely on the side (the left). It is grey button and sometimes I reload the airplane and there is not this button which is always clicking. I understand this noise is really annoying.
