Small bug with Payload Manager...

Featured Replies

I just noticed that if I try adding fuel using the Payload Manager, the amounts of each item do change in the little "equation" shown, but the total amount doesn't change. In other words, the total gross weight shown stays the same no matter how much fuel i add or take away.. the aircraft weight changes with whatever ordnance I specify... and the acutal weight of the fuel changes depending on how much I add, but the displayed total gross weight doesn't change. I have to do the addition manually! Not a big deal - just something you may want to look into. This is in FSX Gold + Acceleration. I haven't tried in P3D yet (still waiting on the P3Dv3 TacPack update)

Also... a question... is there a way to get FSRecorder 2.0 (in FSX) to play back the wing sweep in recorded tracks? I'm working on a video and I'm recording wingman tracks, but the only thing that doesn't ever record and play back is the wing sweep. Prior to the update, the afterburners didn't record either, but the update fixed that. Now if I could just get the wing sweep to work in playback, I'll be all set!

Thanks for all of your continued hard work on the Tomcat! She's really a gem!

The fuel 'bug' is actually a quirk of FSX (if I can recall correctly, it goes away with P3D). It's something we've looked into a couple of times, but in brief, the rows (fuel components and ordnance weights) are pre-defined values in the gauge, but the total weight is the total weight read-out from the simulation.

Yes, it's possibel to get FSRecorder to work, though we need to re-evaluate given the changes made in the last four months. In brief, there is a very specific set of L-vars that FS-Recorder needs to record along with the video. We had a validated list in August 2015, but that's probably changed a little. Expect a post on that in the near-ish future.

No worries! I appreciate the response!

The fuel calculations actually worked great in the previous version. But it's not a show-stopper by any means! Just a quick bit of arithmetic using the ol' noggin and everything's good! Hopefully the FSRecorder issue can be worked out, but again, not a big deal!!

You guys have really knocked this one out of the park! It's an absolutely fabulous add-on! A real pleasure to fly! Thanks so much for all of your continued hard work!
