Just took a quick hop around Oceana in the A+ and I have to say a HUGE thanks to the Devs for this upgrade! Very impressive and a blast to fly (still challenging). I haven't even looked at the manuals yet. Things that stood out to me are the more realistic speed brake operation, flaps take longer to extend/retract, MUCH improved approach speed handling and realistic NWS! Worth the wait. Can't wait to head to head out to the boat

On the improved approach behavior, do note that the A+ and Block 110 A model use the ARI (not sure if this is what you're commenting on), but the Block 90 and Block 100 A models still have the same behavior. We did make a fair number of changes to the ARI though (really it's a rudimentary FBW), including modeling the hydraulic control surface and the ARI control system in a standalone simulation (MatLab) where it was probed and optimized to smooth out the kinks in control response.

Recommend all start in the early models to really appreciate the changes to the later models that made the Tomcat more tame! Hope all futrue customers realize this is not just a "jump in and go" model and actually take the time to practice flying it.

Things I Love About Extended / v2.00 (let me count the ways)

1. Aircraft Handling! Bernoulli and Newton are now H-5ing each other in turns & roll rate - DFCS simul'd? (great work!) 

2. Warnings, Caution and Advisory light logic are much better.

3. Sounds - Canopy, Carrier and missile releases (awesome!)

4. LANTIRN/ TARPS operation & display. (Still working on that one, but man!)

5. NWS turn radius a little better. (No more taxing off the boat)

6. Defensive Countermeasures (Lua) Thank you!

7. Kitty Hawk deck and Island looks a LOT better (my imagination maybe?)

8. NVG (Lua)/ Taxi Light

9. Hoser's AIM/ACE jet.

10. TACAN, TACAN, TACAN is fixed (thank you)

11. Pleasure flying A-Models again. TF-30s complain less - i.e. less advisories (see #2)

 

Still working out the kinks before I go 1v Insect, but Wow is right!
