For each stock skin there is a "ball call" soundfile in the Tomcat's folder. One for each squadron. 

 

What is it that ties the sound to a plane? I mean if I install a vf-84 repaint and I want it to use the vf103 wav file, what is it that I need to adapt? Is it something in the aircraft.cfg?

I believe it uses the ATC id of the aircraft, so for what you want try atc_id=VICTORY under the repaint you want.

Thanks, I will try that. By the way it's a perfect example how the developers paid attention to even the smallest details to make this addon soooo immersive. I just love it.
