My purpose was to get slightly more true to real world matt colours for the UK military paints. I worked on Brit Army Beavers and know one of them personally (the other crashed with all on board killed a few years before I joined up) Use the FS9 version base paint kit - it is the same skin texture, just save as DDS / DXT5. ADD copies of the spec and bumpmap images from the "X" textures OR create your own bump and spec.
