david.hilker 32
Hey, I installed both sceneries in P3D v3. So far everything is working fine. But what is a bit weird for me is that Keflavik has winter textures and the rest of Iceland is still green. Is this some incompability with P3D v3 or am I missing something? Deputy Sheriffs mopperle 4161 Posted January 1, 2016 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted January 1, 2016 Yes, in FSX you have to use the season tool as desribed in the manual. And this one might not work in P3D. And as the scenery is quite old meanwhile, it is very unlikely that anything got changed here. And dont know how you installed it in P3D, manually copying or using a migration tool. Maybe using such a tool could help.
david.hilker 32
Yes, I used the migration tool. Is there anything I can do manually? set some files to .off and some to .bgl or something like this?
Deputy Sheriffs mopperle 4161 Posted January 1, 2016 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted January 1, 2016 In the folder Iceland X - priority 2 are some subfolders for the different seasons. I guess that the tool rename/copy/move those files. You can try to do so manually or you built a script you run before you start P3D. But be careful not to overwrite files without backup. david.hilker 32
Thanks for the quick response. I will try that!
Diegoteruel 0
Today I bought it and I see that I have exactly the same problem. I understand that the problem comes from the program that changes the textures of the year season, does not it?
Diegoteruel 0
Would it be possible to leave a season of the year fixed? ... that would make me happy. If it is not possible I will install it in my copy of fsx and ready;)
Aerosoft Aerosoft Team [Inactive Account] 51558 Posted December 13, 2017 Aerosoft Share Posted December 13, 2017 Is that for P3d v4 Diegoteruel?
david.hilker 32
Keflavik really would deserve a new version these days. Unfortunately it does not look like FSDG have it on their radar right now...
Diegoteruel 0
Prepar3D_v3_Academic_3.4.22.19868 version. In FSX the instalation it´s ok, but the trouble persist
Aerosoft Aerosoft Team [Inactive Account] 51558 Posted December 13, 2017 Aerosoft Share Posted December 13, 2017 I'm sorry, we simply have not worked on the P3d version for this project. I will point the developer to this topic.
Diegoteruel 0
Quiet, the fault is mine for not looking. But it would be interesting if you modernize it and give me a discount !... hehe Greetings from Spain!

I have the same "issue" with the BIKF Scenery on P3D V4.3. Yes i know is not made for P3D. I would love to use it anyways because it works for me except the winter groundtexture. Isn´t there a way to change the texture manually ? Thanks for any further Help! Cheers Stefan
veikkohyn 0
Hello! I've got the same issue and I'm using FSX (boxed version).

Yes, Aerosoft Config Tool 1.21.0 https://imgur.com/a/fRl18Sx It works with the Keflavik X and MipMaps, but not with the ground textures of Iceland X - everything is green when flying in the winter. Deputy Sheriffs mopperle 4161 Posted September 17, 2019 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted September 17, 2019 I think something is not working correct on your system. When you look at this review (the animated picture in te middle), you'll see that the coverage with snow changes each month: http://mutleyshangar.com/reviews/mic/icex/icex.htm Maybe there is a conflict with other addons, like the demo version from Orbx, incorrect scenery order or another addon. As I do not use FSX anymore, you might wait until somebody else jumps in or you contact support at: https://helpdesk.aerosoft.com/portal/home
veikkohyn 0
Sorry, my bad - the winter textures are actually working correctly. I previously only checked the southern/east Iceland and it was green during the default FSX winter time (4th February). But now I also checked in January and the whole country is full of snow.
