F-14B Split Throttle Problems

Featured Replies

Lately I have been trying to get back to flying with the split throttle on my X-55 however I find that if I load into a flight with the B model the throttles are returned to idle almost immediately after any input is given. This problem does not seem to affect the A model tomcat, in fact if I switch from an A to a B it works fine except that it requires me to advance my throttles over 50% to move them out of idle. I have tried re-mapping without FSUIPC and re-mapping as FS Normal Axis in FSUIPC, and re-calibrating the throttles to no avail. I have also tried with and without alternate throttle input selected with all different mappings. Any ideas on what could be causing this?

Are you matching what's on page of volume 3? If I"m reading correctly, then you want to map to an FSUIPC calibrated axis not a normal axis.

If you're seeing a jittering response, then you might have more than one input to the throttles. But, I'd start by making it a calibrated axis first.

Alright I managed to get it to recognize the throttles properly, I had to completely reset my FSUIPC assignments likely had an additional input in there somewhere but it is working. Now my only problem is it is still requires me to push the throttles just past 50% to move out of idle, I haven't been able to calibrate the axis in a way that fixes that.

Fixed it I somehow had unchecked "No Reverse Zone" rechecking it fixed the idle at 50% problem.

Thanks for for the help.
