Southwest Florida Intl. KRSW: Configuration

Hello,

due to some support requests for the configuration of the airport KRSW Southwest Florida, here are some detailed information to do so.

The scenery will be delivered (according to the manual on page 16 "Scenery Configurations") with four different scenery configurations.
For example, Static aircraft or even Volumetric Grass etc ...
So everyone can choose the right configuration for the available computing power.
Volumetric Grass requires more computing power, for example, when you install it.

These configurations are:
1. Basic Configuration (this is always set after the first install of the airport).
2. Base scenery plus static aircraft.
3. Base scenery plus static aircrafts and volumetric grass.
4. base scenery plus volumetric scenery grass.

This is matched by four folders which you find in this folder:
<X-Plane 10 Main directory> \ Custom Scenery \ Aerosoft KRSW 2_Scenery \
The four Earth nav data folder are named as follows:

1. Earth nav data
2. Earth nav data.base+StaticAircraft
3. Earth nav data.base+StaticAircraft+VolGrass
4. Earth nav data.base+VolGrass

X-Plane 10 always only reads the Earth nav data folder!
This folder must ALWAYS be named exactly: Earth nav data

Now if you would like to install static aircraft and Volumetric Grass,
then you have to instruct X-Plane 10 to read the folder Earth nav data.Base+StaticAircraft+VolGrass

This is done as follows:
(The following text only applies if you have not yet made any changes, so the Airport is still configured on base.
For example, immediately after installing the Airport):

First rename the Earth nav data folder in Earth nav data.base .
Then change the folder name Earth nav data.base+StaticAircraft+VolGrass in Earth nav data .

Then start X-Plane 10 and now the airport comes with static airplanes and volumetric Grass.
If you want to make change it back, then quit X-Plane 10 with the menu, rename the current Earth nav data folder back to Earth nav data.base+StaticAircraft+VolGrass
and rename the folder Earth nav data.base into Earth nav data .

Then the next time you start X-Plane 10 you have the default configuration again.

Accordingly, you can do it with the other configurations.

Rename a folder (under Windows for example) you can easily do with the right mouse button.
Then select Rename and enter the new name in the Folder field.

Note: For static aircraft the Library OpenSceneryX must be installed in addition. See manual ...
