In Aeshelp you can set EDDM to OFF. You won't loose your credits.
So you can test if your flightsim crashes without EDDM activated.
You can activate EDDM again any time.

thanks for the idea and yes i've deactivated AES and tried the scenery and the problem has gone. so AES was behind the problem. may be Oliver could invetigate this issue further. wondering if others using AES had the same issue?

The Util.dll is not generated by AES, it's normally generated, when there is another scenery addon in the Area, which also use a "Plattform" command, like the WM Stadion Addon of Aerosoft.
I'll do further experiences to corner the source of the problem. I wish I could remove AES to see if it was really AES, but I'll loose my 4credits.

i installed the scenery a few days ago and everything was fine until i added AES today. whenever i start a flight the sim crashes with this error "util.dll". the update didn't change anything.
any explanation?

good to see airports outside of US/EU region. i'd like AS doing more african scenery like Cairo, Johannesburg, Lagos.... the continent deserves more attention

thanks oliver for your help but after carefully checking my activated credits log i could not see all of my recentely purchased ones. so i put them again in AES and got my airports back
though the mistery is unsolved yet!

i have installed AES on a new computer but before i made a backup of all the folder of AES just not to loose my activated airports and the remaining credits. however, i got a bad surprise with the new installation as AES is showing me 0 credits and many of the airports (KJFK, KORD, LSZH, ESSA, EGLL, ....) that i recentely activated are gone. i remember that i really did a backup of all the contents of AES folder and put it in place before running the installer in the new computer. what surprises me most is that not all airports are lost only those that were activated few weeks before moving AES.
is AES supposed to behave like that? from what i read in some topics, this operation is 100% safe and many did it before me so any good explanation?

forget it, the limits of the AI Engine will not make it possible to have a realistic operation of RW18. 1000 times discussed and testest with all tricks, no chance.
The only possible way is to get RW18 selectable for the user under FS ATC while south wind directions, but not for the AI traffic.

I would like to know if you have any AFCAD for MAF2005 that opens RWY 18 for takeoffs. this will free the other two runways for landings especially at peack time.
p.s.: RWY 18 is actually used in real life

i use WOAI and some from my own. it would be hard to catch the corrupted aircraft among more than 50 parking at the airport. hope someone brings a texture scanning utility

I did the test and this is what i get

> AI at 10%: almost all gates are filled with AI BUT not all AI textures were able to load and FPS were as low as 13. It took a while (10 sec approx.) for Windows to report me this error

It is sth really strange. I have Heathrow 2008 and AI are almost everywhere but I've never witnessed any CTD.

i'm a big user of your EDDF mega scenery but i got a nightmare with the airport. as soon as i load a flight (with any aircarft) and go to spot view my screen turns black and i have to restart FS9. what is strange though is that it happens around noon to 2pm in the day and at no other time. it isn't a memory leak as i have a 2Gig RAM and 256mb video card and usage of memory is stable.
any help to get rid of this nightmare

I have the 2004 version of Frankfurt mega airport. Can I have a free update given that alot of changes have been added to the newest version. I was confused when I read the product page. It seemed to me that I have to pay 14.95Eu to upgrade my Fs2004 version alone!!!

Ok some good news for me as I got the solution. I'm posting it so that others who will face this problem won't waste a lot of time figuring it out as I did.
To whom this solution applies?
- You want to install a new version of AES but the installer doesn't seem to be copying any files and you still get the old version.
- You've tried to uninstall the old version of AES from Control Panel-Add remove programs but you still see AES in the list of programs.
If this is your case, here is the solution.
1-Please follow carefully (without any omissions) the following article from microsoft as it has all the solution:

2-Keep the old folder of AES in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\Aerosoft as it is and don't touch anything (just not to loose the airports that you have activated previously)
3- Install the new AES version and it will work
What is mysterious however is why AES doesn't want to uninstall?

Did you check, that the "List only Installed" Checkbox over the list in AESHelp 1.95a is not checked. Otherwise he list only Airports you have installed and maybe AESHelp don't see KORD on you PC.
This feature is new in AESHelp 1.95a. In older Version, this checkbox is not there and all AES airports are listed allways.
You also can check, if you find the FILE AESA_KORD_FDT.BGL in the ..\Aerosoft\AES\AIRPORT directory, after you have installed AES 1.95a

Actually "List only Installed" checkbox doesn't show up during installation. The problem Oliver didn't start with V1.95 even with previous versions such as V1.92 I had this problem.

so, the installer runs without any error, but you still get the old AESHelp after the install, correct? When AESHelp is showing 1.95a in the headline, it can't be the old version.
What Operationsystem you use (XP/Vista) and if Vista, in which path is you FS installed?
Actually, AESHelp shows 1.90a in the headline even if I install V1.95. As I told you in the previous post, if I do have the new version why the list of airports is not updated?
My OS is XP SP2 and the path of FS9 is 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9'

Hi people of AES,
Since I got the first version of AES (1.90) I was greately satisfied with the add-on and I saw in it a breakthrough in the flight simulation world. Because each new version adds new aiports supported by AES, I tried to install those versions but never have I succeeded to do so and I am still getting the old 1.90 version. The installer runs correctely at the beginning and at the end it displays to me the AES help menu to see what airports have been added. But actually I still get the old list. I wrote previousely to mention this problem and I wasn't satisfied about the answers given to me. I would like to activate new airports such as FSDream KORD or Simwings EGLL and others. Unfortunately I am not able to identify the problem. I've even thought about uinstalling the 1.90 version and installing a brand new one; the uninstall doesn't work
the old 1.90 Version is still in my computer as if it spends a lifetime sentence there???!! -
No error message is displayed and the way the installer behaves is that after telling which files it's going to copy ( I checked that the path is correct) it starts copying the files but actually no file is copied because I still get the old list of airports. Actually, after hitting "Next" quickly the message "Installation is complete AES is notifying secnery...." appears but nothing is there.
Anyway I think I'll forget about AES.

I just bought Orly (V1.05) and it seems that all the building are blurred. Can anybody explain why this is happening?
