  1. Thanks for the reply and update!

As for a MSFS version, yes there is one available from FSDG but it's not very good and has many issues. It's a dirty port-over of a product originally developed for FSX back in 2013 (yes, 10 years old, and wasn't particularly outstanding even back then), then ported over to P3D before being ported over again to MSFS. Your version of the Seychelles is far more detailed and better. In MSFS you have all the tools available in the sim, which makes the process far easier and quicker. MSFS 2024 version or not, I would be happy to join a team working on a project like that. With all heliports and airstrips modelled it would make up for a very unique scenery for island hopping for both fixed-wing and heli :)

What current issues are you thinking about?

Well I don't own this plane yet, but been flying it at my friends house. I'm considering buying it, but been holding off until some issues have been sorted. Mostly due to the lack of beta implementation and all the other turboprop related issues in the sim. The flight dynamics should also receive some tweaks and adjustments here and there (CFD etc). Specifically in turbulence. The flight director is still present even with it turned off. I think there were some issues with the autopilot logic as well unless it's already been fixed. Can't remember everything as I don't have the plane. I think you mentioned something about an update coming after SU12 to make it up to date with new stuff that's been added to the sim?

  3. Thanks Mathijs and Richard .

I am glad I asked. Now, every time I increase the throttle and the nose pitches down, I am a happy camper..knowing I am flying a unique and realistic aircraft instead of thinking it has a bad flight model.

It pays to ask without the fear of exhibiting ignorance!

If I had gone up with an instructor on that aircraft for the first time..My reaction would have been the same. I would have turned around and asked the instructor..what the heck is happening. I am used to flying a Piper Seneca.

    :P:P:P

I have noticed a strange trim issue. When I fly in straight and level with the Twin Otter and then pull back on the throttle the nose goes straight in the air. Exactly the opposite of what it's supposed to. The trim also acts strange. Besides this, the twin otter is just the best aircraft around.

  4. Will there be an FSX compatible version of AES? If so, do you have any idea when this will be released? I'm not flying FS2004 anymore, so that's why I'm asking.

By the way, AES looks excellent from the pictures I've seen.

  5. I would love a Dornier! Or maybe a Dehavilland Twin Otter. I just loved the LAGO version of the twin otter for FS2004. This aircraft CAN be ported to FSX, but none of the instruments work. Except for the instruments it works like a dream in FSX. No issues seen so far.

  6. Ok, thank you for answers. Sorry for mixing together addons by Aerosoft and others. Just a little missunderstanding from my side. So, I guess it's time to go hunt for these developers forums :D Also good to hear about the Black Hawk and Cheyenne that they are being updated.

  7. Hi Aerosoft!

I have a few questions regarding FSX compatibility for some old FS2004 products. Will the following sceneries for FS2004 be made compatible in FSX in the near future:

    - Wonderful Madeira (great scenery)

    - Spanish Airports vol 1&2

    - Life in Elba (great scenery by the way)

    - Balearic Islands and Gibraltar (love these spanish islands)

    - Casablanca

    - Islands of Malta

And some questions regarding airplanes and helicopters for FS2004 in FSX:

    - Piper Cheyenne (probably the best turboprop GA aircraft for FS9)

    - Sikorsky Blackhawk (love this helicopter, best ever for FS2004)

And by the way, do you have any information if Flight Environment will be FSX compatible in the near future?

    Thanks.

  8. thanks, hehe ... uh well, let's just bother Mathijs and Shaun with endless pretty pics ... :D

this one, though, is NOT by me ...

About source data, I have noticed many of the atolls are in high res at Google Earth!

    Hilton%20Maldives%20Resorts%20-%201.JPG

Looks stunning! As I said, this will be a big success if Aerosoft decides to do it for FSX.

  9. I would definetly buy Maldives if Aerosoft makes it. I have a lot of FS friends that totally agree with me. Because there is so much water you can make an extremely detailed scenery without having the heavy performance impact. Just imagine Maldives in FSX with the new water effects, light bloom, high ground texture resolution etc. I can't find any reason why people shouldn't buy it. This WILL be an hit!
