That is not correct, we used a 14 months switch over period and released 21 updates for P3D after MSFS was released.  At this moment these product are however no longer updated.  Sorry, just not financially feasible.

    Hi Mathijs or @AEROSOFT

Thanks for your reply and correction. I’d like to clarify one thing I said as well.

I do not think most of us want new product updates or features, but rather bug fixes to existing issues in the current version.

As you may assume, most people would pay for a product they assume does not have major issue such as managed speed mode in an Airbus dropping to VApp speed mid climb/cruise. Small bugs I can certainly understand that you can never fully resolve, but I think this is a major one that affects functionally of flying from point A to B. Earlier in this thread Aerosoft was seemingly working on a fix, only to have further efforts halted.

In terms of financial feasibility, are the cost of stability updates not built into the price of the offered product? I’m certain that revenue from MSFS alone would sustain the cost to fix a major bug with a parallel product line.

I’ve always known Aerosoft to be a company with a solid reputation and releasing products that are very stable, so I was surprised when this was missed for the entire P3D Airbus professional line.

Nonetheless, all I would like to request is a stability hotfix to resolve the managed speed bug that many users experienced (17 pages worth). I have no request for an update or new features/development. Simply a stable product that can fly from A to B as advertised would be excellent.

Customers like myself have supported Aerosoft for many years and bought entire airports or product lines with our trust in the company, so I hope that a hotfix for a major bug is not too much to ask for.

As always, thanks for taking the time to read this, I sincerely hope that you take my request into consideration for all P3D Airbus customers affected.

Hi guys, I hope this helps you:  I have experienced this issue, mostly on turnaround flights (without quitting and restarting prepar3d).  I have managed to fix it by selecting hdg and then back to nav (pull/push heading knob)

    Hey Guys,

For those of you who are still experiencing problems with the managed speed drop between the entire Airbus Professional family, I just tried this and it worked! It was while in cruise phase. It's a temporary fix but it seems to do the trick for now. Only problem is that if you're away from the computer and it's left on Autopilot, it would stall itself out before you ever got back or knew about it. I've attached screenshots of my speed drop issue when in managed mode.

@AEROSOFT As a reasonable question, why has support on P3D V5 products seemingly ended/super slow? I understand the focus on MSFS right now, however customers put a good amount of faith (and money) when getting addons under the premise major bugs may be fixed. I would be okay with no new features, however I think continual updates to improve product stability/fix major bugs is important.

I've purchased the Airbus X Extended, Airbus X, and now the Airbus Professional family. I've also purchased the CRJ lines and some of your airports through the years, so I can't help but feel a little hurt at the lack of support for your existing P3D products, the second MSFS came out. I know this might not change anything, but I'm certain myself and many others would greatly appreciate a major stability update for the Airbus Professional family to resolve at least the major outstanding issues.

    Thanks for your time :)

  3. I think a rather doable project in terms of payware aircraft is the E-Jet Series by Embraer. The Wilco Pub/Feelthere ones have been around forever and are rather outdated. Currently there are no other smaller jets filling that market segment for FSX and P3D, and personally I'd love to see more from Embraer. We do have the CRJ, but the E-Jets are small, more capable regional jets with all of the technology available in much larger jets (Bless whoever thought of implementing a proper VNAV in them). I see a package being something like the E170 and E190, and then an addition like E175 and E195. Some of the main ways I'd look at it are listed below

    1. Massive market, there's hundreds of them in real life, and I think it would be an excellent alternative to the likes of Boeing and Airbus in FSX and P3D

    2. They help fill a regional niche very well, one that is under-served by current developers.

    3. Usually the markets in which these jets operate are the same ones simmers will have a demand for them (i.e. Canadian origin simmers wanting Canadian Airports, or aircraft, etc)

In the E-Jet's case, that would mean there is a massive potential to sell it to simmers from The US, Brazil, and Europe, three very large markets.

    4. With many variants built of each type, and many airlines having operated them for a number of years, there should be an abundance of operational data and type-rated/experienced pilots available for technical development and input.

    5. Releasing the aircraft as two separate bundles, in staggered releases. I'm not an expert in pricing, but like with the Airbus Professional series, you could release the E170 and E190 first, then the E175, and E195. This could possibly happen with an identical pricing scheme to the Airbus series too (Same cost of each bundle individually, complete package price, etc), and it would fit nicely into the mid-complexity range of aircraft for FSX/P3D.

I think it could be a nice change for Aerosoft, having had their Airbuses for years, I can attest to the quality they develop addons with for flight sim. I would love to see an E-Jet done with the level of quality and detail these guys go into, for the practical daily operation of the aircraft.

Anyhow, happy new years everyone, cheers!
