  1. You have got to check out the brand new Simcheck A300 repaints by Gustavo Aguiar over at Avsim! There are three Brazilian airlines represented and the paints wear really well on our favorite model. You will be pleased.

  2. The re-install idea is interesting. I did all the various upgrades as they came out, but maybe a complete clean out of files and starting over from scratch might be in order. I notice that going back to my Simmarket account, the complete installer says it is version 122. I am going to assume that it is the most recent and most complete version and install only that after a complete un-install of all previous files. Does that sound about right?

  3. Sadly I'm one of the Airbus X owners that never uses this aircraft due to FSX crashing only when using this AC. I have Windows 7 64 bit and FSX with ACC. I use PMDG, LEVEL D, WILCO and many other AC including the SimCheck A300 without a single problem. I saw one post here where the suggestion was to remove the gps.dll file. True there's no crash for the Airbus X when you do that, but a lot of the systems on the Airbus X don't work without that file. Has there ever been a solution to this problem? I sure would love to be able to use this AC.

  4. Hello Shaun,

I've been experimenting with other sceneries turned on or off. The only possibility is that FTX the Orbx Australia sceneries might be putting some extra textures and autogen in tropical locales other than Australia. I'll keep messing with it. If I find something definitive, I'll report it here.

  5. I have W7 64 Bit. I do all my installs that way. I own tons of Aerosoft scenery. All are fine. This is the only one I've encountered this problem. I even tried a clean un-install and a fresh install. I also checked that there are no other AFCAD files around.

  6. After a long spell, I have re-installed Florence X version 104. I forgot how to remove static aircraft from the scenery. A search here in these forums provides no results. Can anyone tell me what file to remove please?

  7. Open your panel.cfg and go down to Window 08. Just add the last line like I added below for gauge 10. Save the cfg. Now when you open the Comm window, the GPS will appear in the lower right hand corner of the Comm window.

  8. I really like this plane a lot and I like using it in FSX. Everything works well for me but one little frustration for me is not being able to see my route ahead, like a GPS map or something similar. Is there anyway to add something to the panel to preview the route like GPS or maybe some other addon window?

  9. I'm so excited, I just completed my first actual flight on the A320! I did Honolulu to Kona and everything worked great. Got to get the power up slightly with the throttles before you switch to manual for the final 400 feet to land. That helps hold the descent rate steady. I know I could do autoland, but I wanted to try it out. I did just fine. I've got a few things to check in the manual, but the coolest thing of all is opening the cockpit windows after engines off!!! :o

    Having fun now!

  10. Gentlemen, great product! I have a small question, I can't manually enter altitude, heading or speed on the FCU, I can only switch between selected and managed mode. When I go to selected mode I can't rotate the knob. Am I missing something? The Systems manual says on page 10 that I should be able to input heading, speed or altitude in selected mode by rotating the knobs, but that is not happening. The knobs don't react. Any help will be appreciated.

  11. Is there a way to not have to shut down the engines in order to get a push back? There are a couple of my aircraft that if you shut the engines down you can never re-start them again. You have to load a default plane with engines running and then re-load the chosen plane to get the engines going again.

  12. I experimented and added AES to Jens Kristenesen's version 2.1 DC4 for FSX. It works very nicely and provides a fun alternative to jet airliners. The only thing that is needed would be an option to choose a pushback tractor with a forked tow bar that would work for the single nose wheel prop airliners. I don't know if such an option would be considered for a future version of AES. What do you all think?

  13. Thanks for the advice. I just checked Peter Dowson's homepage and the most current version of FSUIPC for download is 4.57. I assume that's the one you mean. I'll install it. I like using the panel state ready for take off as a final check before departing. I will just add the flight plan after selecting that mode. I'm planning quite a few trips with this great bird.
