  1. Hi Michael

We know that the sounds for the Bronco isn´t it´s strogest point, nor is it for any turboprop aircraft in FSX.

We spend alot of time trying to get the sounds as accurate as possible, but unfortunatly the sound system of FSX isn´t that good.

Some sounds we needed to move to our own sound module (ASC), but that also poses some limitations.

I´m sure that someone can make better sounds, but we won´t add more to it - sorry.

  2. Hey Finn. Is there any difference in how the engines, or more specifically the prop govenors act from version 1.11 to 1.12? It seems that in 1.12, when you bring the conditioner lever down (lower RPM), that the props slow down much quicker when there is no torque on the engines.

    Hey Buzz

Generaly the engine controlling code has not changed, but as a sideeffect of reducing the so called "Key events", which are the cause of packet flooding in multiplayer, engine control has become more direct.

Personally I find it more realistic for a geared turboprop engine, but other users might not - thus my initial plea for keeping the 1.12 as an optional update.

This would mean that people who don´t intend to use the Bronco in multiplayer, had the option to use the old 1.11th smoother engine controls.

The benefit of 1.12 for all users are the better performance FPS wise, especially with the GPS turned on in Map mode.

So bottom line is: Yes engine behaviour has changed with 1.12 - but in a way I find to be more realistic.

    Best regards

  3. Like Sieggie tells..

The spoilers for the Bronco X is enabled in the aircraft.cfg inorder to help overcome some FSX issues with correct friction when on the ground.

While using key assignment for spoiler will cause some intermittent action on those spoilers, they will be reset to the correct position by the code almost instantly.

Don´t use any spoiler key or axis (FSUIPC) with the Bronco, since in reality it has no spoilers.

We also used both spoilers and flaps on the Catalina inorder to better simulate propdrag and behaviour on the water, since FSX does a poor job on it´s own for on-the-ground physics.

....and please keep the tone polite and serious - this forum is called a support forum, cause it´s purpose is to help with stuff puzzling our customers...

  4. Are You 100% sure that You did install the 1.12 Update correctly ?

The checklist gauge only needs to be disabled if You want to use the Bronco in shared cockpit.

The 1.12 Update has been developed in very close coopération with Geoff, who runs The FS-MP server, and has fixed multiplayer issues for many other addon developers.

You can join his server here: www.FS-MP.com/index.html

Actual flooding level can be read there too along total flooding.

Please....other customers - give us feedback on Your experience with 1.12 !!

  5. Hey Finn, gotta question.

Does the Checklist gauge cause the plane to flood even if you are not using it in a shared cockpit situation?

    JB

In normal multiplayer the checklist gauge works just fine - no ssue.

But in shared cockpit alot more information is shared between the host and the joining PC.

In this case the checklist gauge seems to be too big to be able to be processedover the mutliplayer server(s) thus causing CTD's.

So it´s only when using the Bronco in shared cockpit mode, You should worry about that checklist gauge and thus disable it as described.

We ar unhappy not having ben able to fix this, cause it would have been a great way to have someone learn other pilots how to operate the Bronco, by use of the checlist gauge, but despite our great efforts, we did not succeed to fix it.

  6. For a few minutes its ok to overtorque the engines.

They will wear down faster offcourse, but they will last longer than if You don´t manage to clear those trees at the end of the runway ;)

The ILS gauge is quite easy to use.

Tune the ILS frequency on the NAV radio, found on the right sidepanel.

Set the ILS course on the ILS gauge.

The bars will show your localiser and glideslope deviation - make them form a cross and You are following the ILS.

The small aircraft shows Your intercept angle to the ILS i.e beeing right on the ILS course, the aircraft will point straight up.

The VOR, TACAN & ADF needles on the gyro compass simply shows the direction to the station.

If Your turn until the needles points straight up, then You are flying directly towards the station.

The TCN/VOR switch on the left side of the main panel selects whether the source for the needle is Tacan or VOR.

  7. Any news? I'd really like to use this plane in multiplayer and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one. ;)

    Thank you.

I´m very sorry about the lack of information...

We have all been tight up on other projects until now, but we are actually adding the last stuff for the update as I speak.

If the testing goes well, I think the update can be made available within this week.

The update will be optional. This means that You don´t have to apply it if You don´t plan to use the Bronco online.

    The benefits adding it is:

-Code optimised for maximum performance FPS and stutter wise

-Full multiplayer capable - i.e no packet flooding

-GPS causes much less impact on FPS in MAP mode.

What You might experience though, is slightly more "Course" or rough" engine behaviour with condition levers in Normal setting - but I find it to be subtible.

While normal multiplayer functionality is 100% assured, shared cockpit mode can only be used if the Checklist gauge has been disabled.

We did not manage to "fix" the checklist gauge for shared cockpit. If it is enabled (default) then the joining Bronco will cause FSX to crash.

Disabling the checklist gauge is easy though - how to do will be mentioned in the Readme.txt for the update.

  8. Seems to be hard to fix the shared cockpit issue for the 1% of users that must use it, can the fix be released in two parts so at least the multiplayer can be used?

We are not able to fix the Checklist gauge issue in Shared cockpit.

We think we where very close, but the gauge is simply too complex and like You say... only a few people will use it, though it´s a real shame, because it's actually a really cool feature.

This means we will release an update that will fix multiplayer, but if You want to use the shared cockpit function, then You must comment out the checklist gauge.

Only thing left is to get the files tested and assembled, shouldn´t take too long.

    Stay tuned....

    -Viele verbraucher verbrauchen keinerlei strohm

    2x Batterien (Main + Aux)

    2x Generatoren

    2x Inverter

    Diese versorgen:

    -Main batterie bus

    -Aux batterie bus

    -Batterie + Ext power bus

    -Linke main bus

    -Rechte main bus

    -115 V AC bus

    -26 V AC bus

Die busse werden mittlels diese schalter gesteuert:

    -DC Master schalter

    -EXT/BAT schalter

-Linke generator schalter (der auch vom DC master schalter abhaengig sind) *)

-Rechte generator schalter (der auch vom DC master schalter abhaengig sind) *)

-Bustie schalter (um Linke + Rechter main bus zusammen zu koppeln)

-Inverter schalter (um no 1. oder no 2. Inverter anzuwaehlen)
