  1. Yep from the top of my head you can have X-Plane up and running with the least cost with the massive freeware for X-Plane, that includes the zibo mod 737 which is free. Pretty sure you won't regret having X-Plane as your second sim as it is cost friendly comparing to P3D.
  2. Sure is our hobby and makes sense to invest. However this money matters to me, I work hard for it and I want to be sure what is justified for.
  3. It doesn't apply for me, I invested thousands on P3D including buying all these Airliners from FSLabs, PMDG, Aerosoft .. etc. However, my divorce story from P3D even started long before MSFS release when I got to know X-Plane first time on Christmas 2019 (I was on FS9, FSX, P3Dv4), and that was the first time I got to learn how beautiful slopped runways look on X-Plane or I can use orthos4xp with X-Europe for free or using the awesome Zibo mod, or even the graphics of X-Plane that is a step up from P3D, I used to hate P3D orthos and that I had orbx stuff, things on X-Plane looked to me better and also the maintainability of the sim, I used to hate this ridiculous things of P3D to fiddle around with all XML files whenever I want to add a scenery or the ridicules thing that there is no a proper updater that everytime there is a fix or new update for P3D, is recommended that I download the whole thing again and fiddle again with settings. What was the best of them of all, was the feeling of the plane, I didn't know what does "on-rails" means until I tried X-Plane which led me to know what does "on-rail" means on P3D, oh boy I couldn't tolerate it any further on P3D and I went ahead investing heavily on X-Plane like buying airliners like FF, Toliss, Inibuilds, IXEG. At the beginning I was kinda 60% X-Plane and 40%P3Dv4.5, things were stable so yeah and v5 was released, I said to myself let me try and guess what, instability like crazy, the crazy vram issues (until today this is an for me), the crazy CTDs, the list goes on, EA sometimes looks fuzzy. Even with hotfixes things got a bit better but wasn't for my satisfaction and I was preferring X-Plane especially when LR released Vulcan and I was like 100% X-Plane until MSFS released and honestly I got hooked up with MSFS with its amazing graphics, immersions and the feeling of the plane that is similar to X-Plane, like a perfect package! However, it doesn't mean that I no longer fly X-Plane, no I still use both on equally and I am investing on both as well, I just removed P3D completely from my machine .
  4. The amount of misinformation spreading around in Avaim fourms sometimes is crazy, and many of these misinformation started by some die hard P3D folks which sometimes I don't get why are they behaving like this. Although I am fan of X-Plane and MSFS, I believe MSFS no matter will shape the future of simming for the better, so these folks should be happy not just throw some nonsense random words like "eye candy" or "a game" .
  5. Wow that's nice seeing Aerosoft and PMDG together in this thread, can you guys invite Jörg and Sebastian to this thread as well lol. Thank you guys for making this hobby strive and especially thank Matjias for his work on influencing and doing his best to make MSFS a success! Also we shouldn't forget Microsoft and Asobo for their work on the sim and their constant dialog with the community, something not so common but guess what, Jörg and other guys at Asobo managed to do so despite of the negativey of you know who lol.
  6. Is this what you mentioned that needs to be fixed in the sim side?
  7. Yes indeed. I think this is new mentality that was started by Satya Nadella from Microsoft that started from Windows 10 and delivers updates as service, pretty sure the same goes will be for MSFS which actually makes sense.
  8. Indeed! I mean they had only 4 years when Jörg Neumann started working with them on the FS project and look on how magnificent it is, it means really really more or less give it like year and will see how much improvement will get. These conspiracy theories that are spreading by some folks in the P3D universe really have no place.
  9. I hope then Asobo will take a note of this to make it more easy for other third party developers
  10. The amount of details this sim can depict is crazy! Despite of its bugs (which 100% sure they will be fixed in months to come), is just magficanit that makes it so hard to get back to other sim
  11. Hey @Mathijs Kok, Asobo has pushed a mini patch this morning , is this something related to the CRJ to get it working :D? Thank you
  12. External lighting are working? Because I didn't notice the Nav/Strobe light working in the pervious screenshots
  13. By the way another question, how is the performance of WASM in the sim in terms of fps and limitation on the CPU? There are some folks claiming that WASM has big performance impact on the sim, hence I'm wondering about it.
  14. Oh my ... 😍. Never recalled the CRJ looked that good, wow MSFS engine has changed many things, I saw one of interview that Asobo is using Forza game engine which may explain this insane details of graphics. Awesome job guys and looking forward to this release ! By the way, is there any photos for the night lighting of the plane internally and externally? I bet it looks beautiful at night as well !
  15. Good to hear that ! I have question, do you think we can still get it this year in light of the recent sim update if it improved things for you guys? 🙂
  16. Honestly, some hardcore P3D simmers have been acting in very annoying way, even long before the release of MSFS, bashing other sims like X-Plane at that time and MSFS before it was even released (I own the three platforms). That behavior pushed me away from P3D and its ecosystem to X-Plane (long before the release of MSFS), I was very annoyed seeing some "chosen" ones in P3D circle and the rest of the community is basically out of touch from LM and its development roadmap. I appreciate a company that engages well with the community, with open dialog and transparency and what I can see, LR and Microsoft/Asobo doing very good job with that.
  17. Great writing @Mathijs KokKok! There are just people will keep fight for their position, the best just ignore and carry on. Sooner or later , they will accept it and will move on as well. Regarding P3D, I'm honeslty predicting that it will be more and more only for the professional license. That what they actually made it for , isn't? However I am predicting the future of the real competition will be between MSFS and X-Plane. Very hard because I love both 😉.
  18. Okay Aerosoft team, after intensive tests (removing all mods and reduce all settings to low), I am convinced is an issue from MSFS, not from Aerosoft EDDK. It is even reproducible on a clean setup. I am honestly clueless why it happens, what puzzles me more that I don't see much complaining in the official forum about an issue like mine. However it is even tricky to reproduce it :(.
  19. After the update I tried again in this issue. It is still producible upon arriving to EDDK. At least now I know how to produce it (using the developer camera but is the similar issue if I land), here we go for how from my end: 1. Start from EDDK and use the developer camera. If you play around with the camera here, you would get a good fps 2. To simulate arriving to EDDK , use the developer to move the camera to another location , let's see to Düsseldorf ,just to force the sim to start loading new location . 3. Now take back the developer camera to EDDK, wait until the CPU completes loading the autogen, at this point hopefully you will see the fps drop and thus the GPU limited issue. 4. At the point where the fps drops ,I tried to lower the setting to Low but it doesn't help , the only the thing can help is to resize the sim window to a very small size and back again until the fps recovers as I mentioned in my OP. I am using the sim as windowed mode in 2k screen.
  20. That would make sense, I thought the missing stuff from the SDK (or from Simconnect) more than that. By the way, internet access from WASM not from Javascript, isn't? Because I think from Javascript is pretty much doable as far as I recall.
  21. Honestly, this movie for crying about P3D is like FSX and FS9 all over again. Sure, some at the moment will say "no I am staying on P3D, MSFS is a game" forgetting that P3D is based on FSX which is a "game" but it can be a sim at the same time, the same goes for MSFS . LM had like how many? 10 years? And yet P3D without all these add-ones looks like FSX or even worse like Minecraft with the EA at the initial release. MSFS is also based on FSX, Microsoft and Asobo started on it back to 4 years and look at it now. Sure it has bugs, I will give it one year but pretty sure, it will dominate the sim market, believe or not. Like for god sake, the vRAM is the most frustrating thing I really hate about P3Dv5, even after the 5.1HF1, you need to pray before any flight that the sim won't CTD due to the VRAM (my settings are lower than my P3Dv4.5 due to the VRAM), yeah sure, if you get the a card with 20gb of VRAM that costs like 1600euro, maybe you won't see this issue but not everyone have unlimited money to buy such cards, average user would have like card with 6gb-8gb of vRAM on average. Let's not go away, X-Plane 11.5 with Vulkan, also have this VRAM issue but at least I won't see my sim to CTD instead it will aggressively lower down the resolution of the texture in order to satisfy the vram which is completely fine with me as long I don't have CTD.
