The data for the schedules get collected typically over a period of two month about one month before the beta of that version, so the schedules for the MT2010 version 1.1 are from early spring 2010, for 1.2 from summer 2010.

MyTraffic 2010 contains around 2000 airports, and JFK is among them, and if I remember correctly JFK has gates associated. If I remember more, there are big construction works in JFK, several terminals are closed and most airlines use other terminals than in FS9 times. The layout provided with MyTraffic 2010 may represent such a state, so it may be not the actual one which will change soon again...

I assume you refer to MyTraffic2006V41 that is contained on the MT2010 DVD?

It will install and work properly provided you switch the stupid User Access Control off. I assume this will also solve 90% of your other problems. UAC is for people who use their computer like female German bishops their car.

Hello Shaun...thanks for the reply....yes I do hear the various Airline names..after installing MT2010 I ran "edit voicepack and updated it....is that the same thing as the sound patch from MY2010?

The MyTraffic Soundpatch only can patch the original file, or one patched by a previous version of itself. If you applied EditVoicepack, it will recognize this and terminate, so you are done and all is OK.

Im Ordner aerosoft/afd/scenery gibts nur eine AF2_EDDS.bgl und im Ordner My Traffic/scenery weder eine AF2... noch eine BR2 mit EDDS.

Dafür gibts im Ordner VFR Germany 3/scenery eine Datei, die AIRPORT_FLATTENS.bgl heißt oder auch eine BADEN-WUERTTEMBERG_FLATTEN.bgl..., vielleicht liegts ja an denen????

This is th elimitation of the FSX ATC, which reserves long segments to one aircraft only. Please remember that a software that supports human controllers costs ten thousands per month per airport, while FSX is a low cost game containing as a tiny part an ATC that fully controls the traffic on ten thousands of airports - no wonder it is many orders of magnitude away from realism.

I would not order the software that replaces the human controlers on any airport from Microsoft.

Not possible using the stock AI engine, but maybe a simconnect program can do some stuff like this, contact Simon from Super Traffic Board on this, he is the world expert to judge.

The most likely reason is that you have one or more AI schedules in your FSX setup in FS8/ttools format. Remove them.

hab ich ja auch ich schau mal wie sie es bei mir machen. Ich vermute, unter Aerosoft\AFD\scenery hast Du einen Datei BR2_EDDS.bgl, und unter MyTraffic\scenery ebenfalls. In diesm Fall lösch die bei MyTraffic.

Was nicht so einfach ist - AI traffic besteht nicht aus einem Flug von A nach B, sondern aus einem 24h-Operationsplan, der etliche Planungsarbeit verlangt.

Aber der Eidtor nimmt einem die meiste Arbeit ab:

Default datanase laden, unter airline->manage Air Berlin auswählen, die 737-800 auswählen, auf Schedule drücken, EDLP und LEPA auswählen, Uhrzeit und Flughafen eintragen, OK drücken, einmal Create all files and traffic und schon sollte sie fliegen, wenn: es noch genug freie Slots gab, die Flughäfen den Typ unterstützen, sollte in diesm Falle kein Problem sein, usw...

Ultimate Traffic 2007 besteht noch völlig aus FS 2002 code - da hilft die schnellste Hardware mit viel paralleler hardware garnichts, wenn man sie 10 Jahre alten sequentiellen Code abklappern lässt. Sorge dafür, daß nur reiner FSX code läuft, und 30 fps sollten locker erreicht werden.

Stellt man die Bildrate auf ungegrenzt, steigt in der Tat die Bildrate, weil FSX dann den größten Teil seiner internen Logik abschaltet und nur noch Grafik produziert. Man erkauft sich diese Raten dadurch, dass Nachladen von Texturen, ATC, AI Verkehr usw nur noch eingeschränkt laufen.

You have installed other addons which contain AI schedules in ttools/FS8 format, and these effectively switch FSX Ai traffic off. Delete these old files and all will be good.

Thanks for producing a great product! The aircraft that appear are of very low resolution. For example, and I have a Delta plane at the gate next to me and I can hardly make out the letters D-E-L-T-A. I went to the My Traffic Configuration menu and I installed aircraft with full resolution and animations. It took only seconds and a dos menu asked me to press any key to continue. Yet, when I start up FS again, the same low resolution aircraft appear. Am I doing something wrong? Is there something I need to do in FS for this to work? Thanks

I assume you have the slider "Global texture size" not far right? That should solve it without costing much performance but on a low Grafics card below 256MB.

with ai at zero, everything works fine

We once or twice had a case where files that got bad on the disk ( disk hardware errors, virus protection vandalism )caused FSX to crash.

Rename the folder MyTraffic\aircraft folder to aircraft1, then no aircraft can be loaded. Put the traffic slider up. If now you have a crash the files in MyTraffic\scenery just have got bad.

If this works now, create a folder aircraft and move let us say the folder A343MX over to this. Now check at Frankfurt if there are some LH A340-300. If yes, than all is working, and you can pull over more folders in groups until the crashes start again, then you have isolated a bad file.

I assume you have updated the video drivers, drivers that come on DVDs with the hardware are known to have issues.

The MyTraffic installation usually makes a backup in the same folder. If that got used up already, it is in one of the cab files on the DVD and the only file there that has more than 200GB, but I didn't find a note about more details.

There is a 99% probability that your FSX world is poluted by AI schedules in ttools/FS8 format, these switch the FSX AI traffic off. Delete those schedules and most likely this solves it.

Since it is usual that AI addons and airports that use ttools compile the schedules after installation, these are NOT removed by an uninstall by definition.

Hi,

When I try to "Install aircraft models for historic flights" it appears to fail.

When I look in MyTrafficAircraftInstallers folder I do not see any old models;

(ie A300MTM.exe, A310MTM.exe, A320MTM.exe, B707MTM.exe, B742MTM.exe, Comet4CMX.exe, DC10MTM.exe, DC8-50MX.exe, L1011MX.exe, SE210MX.exe)

All other models are working.

What did I do wrong?

The time machine and historical models are not part of MT2010. This is the streamlined and simplified version of MyTraffic for the average market. Complex features that require the user to understand items like what DX10 is are not part of MT2010.

[Deleting a flight.]

Is it possible to delete a default MyTraffic 2010 flight using MyTraffic 2010 Editor? If yes, how can I do it?

In principle, yes, but there are more things to consider when you do so. So the preferred strategie is to define a new rule set and then create new schedules, files and traffic. Or just uncheck the use in MyTraffic of the relevant type if that helps, and run a simple create files and traffic.
