Hi Mathijs, the plane looks insane! Can’t wait to flight it. Will all these functionalities in the tablet in the cockpit work in the xbox version? Sorry if this was asked before.

We can't test that yet, but we see no reason why it should not.

  2. What you are seeing is caused by a memory leak. One of the processes on your system (most likely in the sim) is using more and more graphics memory as time progresses.

    What’s the immersion module?

First of all, we normally do not do paid new features for a project, not a big fan of that at all.  No paid livery packs.

What I called the immersion module is all the stuff that is happening on a flight deck that is not directly related to flying.  So things like operating the door, ordering a coffee etc.

    Hi Mathijs and Team,

A few pages back, a screenshot had been posted on the pending work items for the A330. Would you be able to provide an updated screenshot? Thanks all for the hard work, team. Looking forward to it :)

Give me until the weekend to gather up some data, and I'll share some insights.

  5. But when the stutter occurs, the whole airport is not even in view. So it seems to be related to unloading and not loading. That's purely a memory thing (main memory and graphics memory) thus highly depending on the graphics driver. I would experiment with that if this issue is bothering you (personally, I would not be bothered much by this).

  6. After talking to Sascha...

Q: My performance is really bad! What can I do?
A: Above all, we recommend the following:
Due to the density of objects, well-populated aprons and VDGS systems in this addon, “level of detail” settings (LOD) have a considerable impact. They control how early models switch to simpler versions of themselves as you move away from them. If you have very high settings, they will switch very late and still use a lot of performance. While you can’t see all those details anymore from a distance, they still require higher CPU/GPU power.
Therefore it is HIGHLY recommended to use medium slider settings. Go to:
OPTIONS → GENERAL OPTIONS → GRAPHICS
→ TERRAIN LEVEL OF DETAIL (move the slider to the centre position)
→ OBJECTS LEVEL OF DETAIL  (move the slider to the centre position)

Is it correct that the A330 has been ready for a long time? But Aerosoft is just waiting for the perfect sales moment

    No. You must be kidding.

If it were true, we would be royally buggered with the announcement of MSFS 2024, lol.

    I think you are being very optimistic that this will be looked at for multiple reasons;

    1. Hydraulic SOVs are not touched in normal operations, which AS always states to only simulate. They are only used in emergencies and abnormal procedures.
    2. Who knows if the CRJ update will release before MSFS2024 releases :P .

    But one can hope.

    1. Indeed.

    2. The two are not connected in any way, and the CRJ will be available in both sims and all platforms.

This is all conjecture, BUT that was indeed the first thought going through my head. Asobo and Aerosoft have been close partners during the launch of MSFS 2020, so the handoff of the Twin Otter into the 2024 base game seems like a reasonable outcome.

On that note, what do we even call this new game? I remember Asobo/MS being adamant that MSFS is MSFS, and not MSFS2020...should we still call the new one MSFS? Or MSFS2024? Perhaps MSFS-Career?

Microsoft has called it Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 so far.
