Certainly not three months!
Appreciate the reply, Mathijs...
But that was kind of an ambiguous answer... is it more or less than 3 months?

Roger that.
First of all - I don't complain! I'm merely bewildered about the actions of other users in here, since I quite offend, I find my posts being down-voted, even though, there's isn't a touch of negative, rude or otherwise offensive expressions in it. It's a bit mystifying to me, to be honest.

I think there is no need to discuss that already now, as no work has been started yet, and therefore we are still far away from having anything to show at all
Roger that. Thanks, Tom!
(What's the matter with (some) people in here?! Why did I get a 'down-vote' for that post?!)

Well, which other preview topic should it relate to? This is the Brussels preview, and Jo will apparently be the trustworthy developer Mathijs mentioned earlier who will take over the Brussels project soon.
I'm sorry, but it could very well be, that this topic was closed down, and a new one opened, once previews of Jo's scenery came in...
Since this topic was intended for a different developer, it would be very plausible to close down this topic to avoid confusion.

A bit off-topic, but Brussels certainly isn't the only capitol airport scenery missing in P3D. Dublin and Prague are missing too. Madrid and Lisbon are coming up but haven't been released yet. Bratislava is a missing capitol as well, but even more off-topic because it was never done by Aerosoft.
Both Prague and Dublin exists for Prepar3D!
Aerosoft have developed both of them. Although, not for Prepar3D v4...

Some other projects will be closed and then this will be tackled. This time for the last time.
Thanks for the update, Mathijs.
I'm sorry, but I can't help but conclude, that the words 'This time for the last time' sounds a bit ominous.
Let's hope for the best.

Are any of the work salvageable, or does a new restart equal starting from scratch?

But look at the CRJ, many people believed that one would never ship. But it did.
Oh don't go there, Mathijs

Murphy's Law, comes to mind...
Thanks for the update, Mathijs

It will be completed by another team. This is indeed one of those projects from hell where anything that could have gone wrong has gone wrong.
Thought that title belonged to the CRJ?

Do you know im not asking a question to you?
So little bit friendly please..
maybe Gayasim is actually making also a xplane version now?
I thougt he had then a 'maybe' anwser.
Im free to ask, and how are you to attack me?
First of all - I was not attacking you!
I simply pointed out, that there's a search function at the top of this page. It's used to find answers to questions already answered in threads and topics. It's common sense and practice to just do a quick search, before asking a question. It takes literally 30 seconds, and we can keep the thread clean, and avoid questions, which keeps coming up.

Will it be available for X Plane 11 also?
You do know, that there's a search function at the top, right?
Took me 20 seconds to find this answer.

Although BGL files are basically executable files they are neither 32 or 64 bits. The same as XML files which most likely will run without any problem.
Ahh... Thanks for clarifying, Mathijs.

Yes I know, but if you run 32bit scenery in 64bit environment it will stay 32bit, we can now also run stuff in windows 64bit ,but
with all the known restrictions.
I'm not really sure what you mean here...
Texture files (bmp files for the large part) doesn't need to be 64-bit compatible. Or said in another way, they don't need to be 64-bit compiled (since they aren't compiled). For instance, you don't need a '64-bit version' version of an image file to be able to view it in Windows x64. I'm a little unsure regarding bgl files, as to whether they need to be recompiled or will work as they are... but in large part, I would think that sceneries would be rather uneffected by any possible 32-64-bit conversion of Prepar3D.
Aircrafts (and other utilities) which interface in the simplatform in a direct and live way, would need to be re-compiled. This applies for a large part on stuff which is dependend on SimConnect (PMDG, Aerosoft Airbus, FSLabs etc...). Any complex airliner. This would also apply to ActiveSky and other weather engines - but (to stay in the same area), the textures in ASCA for instance, wouldn't need conversion as they are - well textures.
P.S - I'm no programmer (although I do have some knowledge of programming in various languages) so someone in here, could probably explain this better.

Agreed! Space Shuttle Simulator is indeed great! Very realistic...
But has a steep learning curve... Requires you, to read and understand a lot of theoretical stuff if you have to fly it properly!
But once that's done - It's a really great sim!
-
Absolutely great pictures!
One question though... What scenery is used here? Very lovely ground textures...
-
Nice - thanks for that information!
Sorry I didn't see the information regarding your description...
Again thanks!
-
Very nice video...
What specs are you using for your computer...
What airport are you taking off from?
What settings for FSX? ENBSeries?
Sorry for the interrigation... but i'm quite curious...
