  1. I'm perfectly honest, we have not spend more then a few hours thinking about the more complex version. It could be easy to say yes we'll consider it but it would be an empty promise. We'll see. Getting this one out of the shop is hard enough.

Thanks Mathijs, I know you guys are going to get there, take all the time it takes to polish this wonderful aircraft and we'll be there when it's ready. All the best wishes for testing.

  2. Sorry, we decided not to do that. The biggest reason for that is simply FPS. By not implementing the right seat we can get our BUS as fast as the default bus and that's massively important for us.

That's more than fair enough, Thanks Mathijs

  3. Yeah, I wouldn't have thought that would be too difficult to implement. I use Ezdock, so I should be able to do that anyway. I'll if I can grab a couple of shots from the right seat :)

    Chris

Cheers Chris, I use Ezdock too, is the FO FGMC enabled on the Airbus X or is it only static at the moment?

  4. YOU GUYS WANT 45$ FOR A PLANE THAT DOES NOT EVEN HAVE WINGFLEX? IS THIS A JOKE OR WHAT? GET REAL YOU GUYS WHO CARES ITS GOT ALL THESE SYSTEMS IT DOESNT EVEN HAVE WHAT ALMOST ALL DEFAULT FSX AIRCRAFT HAVE. WOW I AM SO SHOCKED THIS IS CRAZY

You can look at this video of a 320 on final up to landing at LFMN and you will notice only a tiny amount of flex, also taking into account LFMN is usually a windy approach. I get your point about the flex being a really nice extra feature but I think the masses would rather gain the few FPS and stability other the flex. Remember Airbus X focuses on PF workload.

  5. No wing flex!!!! That's crazy. I thought all the great advances that FSX offers were being used? Surely wing flex would be one of them. I think that it is a must have. If that's true then I will not be buying it which is a real shame as I have been looking forward to this. Without wing flex you may aswell be flying a brick!!wacko.gifmad.gifblink.gifohmy.gif

Honestly, the wingspan on the 320 is not long enough to notice any flex. We surely can't see it from the flight deck. You would have to be standing in front of the wing to be able to catch it and this product is focused on PF workload not plane spotting.

  6. Thanks for uploading these. Still a shame about the lack of shine of the paintwork! Paintwork still looks very dull. I wonder if something can be done to add a bit of shine to these liveries. Aircraft paint always have a shine, Airbus X seem to lack that part.

  7. Talked to Saitek about the stiffness of the throttle. It seems this is caused by the grease, in transit during the cold period we had the grease solidified.

There tech people advised me to move the throttle as fast as possible back and forward for 30 seconds, really put an effort into it. That seems to solve most of the problem for me. It also helped to put the stick in the sun so it heats up for a while.

    Hi Mathijs

Tried that but the throttle is still as hard as hell, not really impressed on that front. Any other tip? We are waiting for Saitek to come back to us.

  8. I tried twice earlier today to reply to the question of the double bogie but either the Aerosoft site was having problems or my internet provider .

What I wa sgoing to say was that being involved in painting lveries fot the Airbus X and after studing thousands of photo's of the A320 & A321 I had yet to see one . Now that you mention an airline that does use double bogies ( but not on all their aircraft ) , I have finally seen one .

    Link : http://www.airliners...-231/1671085/L/

You learn something new every day . It must be a very small percentage that actually use them .

    John

They do look nice on the 320, thanks for posting John

  9. Hi,

If I recall correctly the double-bogey is not included in the livery. I think it's an option for certain companies that land in airports with gravel runway or stuff like that...

Yes that is the reason why I put my question like that because BA wouldn't really have this option on but Air India would, and as we are talking about one developer making all the liveries it was simpler asking that way, if that make sense.

    Cheers

  10. OOUUUCH! Better not act on his advice, Chris. 18 degrees pitch on touchdown makes some nice fireworks on your tail skid....

But BTW, would be a nice visual effect to add....

    Timo

May I also add; The flare begins at approximately 20 feet. Do not delay the touchdown with a prolonged float. Tail strike occurs at approximately 12° degrees of pitch with the landing gear compressed. (de-crag technique should be used for crosswind landings)

  11. @ CRM320 ,

You are forgetting a couple of simple facts . 1 This is not your forum , it's Aerosoft's . 2 This is an open forum , where your comments are there for everyone to see and because of that means that anyone can comment or answer other peoples posts , that the answer you see does not give you the answer you want does not make it any less true .

The discussion over S%&S and S%&%S has been asked and answered ad nauseum , just get over it .

    John

I don't come into forums to kick off debates or be judge and jury to what should be defined as a "good or rubbish" post. There are moderators to do that job (I don't believe you are one of them), I come here to find answers and/or contribute to discussions about the product (should I be in a position to do so otherwise I restrain from posting irrelevance, maybe more people should adhere to that rule?). Again your post has done nothing to contribute to this thread. As mentioned above, my questions had already been perfectly answered with courtesy by Chris, I am not too sure what you think you are adding on by signing in and posting on this thread.

    (End of.)

  12. It was a big deal and was well explained earlier in the topic. It's not going to change in the basic Airbus for very sound and rational technical reasons. It's obviously possible, but I believe the frame rates were the issue. But trust me, it makes perfect sense for this product and the target audience. It was also explained earlier in great detail by Mathjis and a line Airbus pilot in Europe that entering waypoints "on the fly" is in fact very real life.

I politely suggest you consider your question answered. There's nothing wrong with your question, but it's been extensively dealt with and the answer is what it is. Things will not change. Simply wait for the advanced version specs to see where this will go in that version.

Are you the Forum police? I politely suggest you refrain from replying to post if you do not have an answer that is anything else than trying to be patronising. Trying to fuse or ignite a debate isn't really productive posting. Furthermore the post was addressed to Chris who himself gave a sound and logical explanation.

  13. There is a FMGC that can be used to manually input your flight plan if you wish. However, it doesn't have the functionality to enter the SID/STAR by name. But that doesn't stop you entering the waypoints as part of your flight plan.

    Hi Chris,

I am not sure I remember what was the reason for excluding this function from this product? I didn't think adding the SID/STAR would be such a problem not to include it? Was it really a big technical issue?

  14. I meant charts, maps, checklists but let's forget it

I agree with you. I did ask the question about cockpit lights earlier on this thread. And the answer is light won't be "adjustable". I do like it to be but such is Aerosoft's decision on the matter.

I always find it a plus to be able to control the light within the cockpit, not everybody likes the same amount of darkness on the instruments and it is a nice little function to have. Not a deal breaker, just a nice + to have. I did find the light a bit too "orange" on those preview shot I have to admit, we are not used to see that kind of light reflection on the 320.

    All the best,

    D

  15. Mathijs, thank you for this update. We are eagerly waiting for this product to come out. I have a couple of questions and I am hoping I am not echoing some previous posts, I apologies in advance If you already have answered this in some degree.

1 - will there be a way to control the light in the VC? I know a lot of people find this tool very useful, (when this is done properly). When flying at night or in low light, it does help the vision withint he VC.

2 - will the cockipt warning sounds and GPWS be replicated acurately as in the real Airbus. (On what Airline did you base your sound pack from ?) I know it varies from Airline to Airline.

Many thanks, and all the best,

    D

  16. 2 genuine questions, you guys might know the answers: first, will the navigation display arc degree turn on the map?, and second: will the "roll down the runway" sound be replicated? What I mean by that is beside engine noise, all other noise that is generated in the cockpit when rolling down the runway, I'll call it cockpit sound! : )

    Regards

    Dave
