  1. Dear all,

I will be buying myself a new computer in the very near future, and simultaniously, I will (finally) be switching to another simulator. FS2004 gave me years of fun, but because my previous system was not that high-end, I was not able change to FSX any earlier. The system that I am going to buy consists out of the following:

    Intel I7 2600K

    ATi Radeon HD 6850

    ASUS P8Z68 Motherboard

    Corsair 800W Power supply

    8GB Internal memory DDR3

    Win. 7 64 bits

Anyway, I could use a piece of advice on my new simulator. Which one should I install: FSX or X-plane 10? I already have quite a lot of FS2004 add-ons which will also be compatible with FSX, which will save me some money. On top of that, there are many further add-ons available for FSX (among them the paramount NGX).

However, X-plane looks quite good from what I have seen so far! With X-plane having a better source code, "buying" more FPS will be possible, which is not the case for FSX. However, X-plane has not seen daylight as of yet, and who knows what problems might arise. In addition to that, there are no add-ons available, and I believe it might take a while before the first ones are released.

So, what should I do? Go for FSX, run my FS2004 addons? Or should I go for X-plane, superior to FSX in terms of code, system and what have you?

    Thanks for answering!

  2. Gents, I've bought the boxed version last week, and I'm experiencing a big problem.

The problem is known I presure, it's the very low 1 fps at night.

I know there was a fix posted, but I can't download this file anymore, as the moderator deleted the thread it was posted in.

I'm using FS2004, and running a "staggering" Intel Core E2140 processor.

I am aware that this is one of the worst processors ever, but I simply don't have money to buy a new one.

And on another note, this old processor can run EHAM during daytime at around 12fps in the PMDG 737, so it's not my processor causing this bug.

Can anyone repost the file, or tell me about another solution?

    Many thanks, and kind regards,

    Pat

  3. I would also be interested in an EBCI (Brussels South) airport (FS9 and FSX), since it is an important Ryanair hub, it is not that big and there is no competition at all (only an outdated mipisoft version).

Same here, I think Belgium should be put into the spotlights a bit more.

Perhaps a new addon for Liege, the big freight hub?

And as indicated by Erik, I would love a "Mega Airport Brussels South"

  4. Hello guys, this summer i have to work and when i come back at home, i cliked aerosoft for new news about fs9 sceneries, but...only fsx news

    Antalaya X....Kos X....Gibraltar X....Faro X....Santorini X

What about fs2004 sceneries this summer??

    My apologize for my english!!!

    REgards!!!

I can confrim that Antalya, Kos and Faro are both for FSX and FS2004.

These airports, together with Monastir, will be part of the Holiday Airports bundle, which wil be released by the end of August.

  5. I think this is something which must be said.

Although the developer is not showing up (which is of course a shame), I truly believe Aerosoft is doing a magnificent job in providing "First Aid" for people who have trouble with the scenery!

Even "normal" customers are trying to solve issues -the afcads for instance, have we ever seen this before!?

Anyway, what I just wanted to say to all early adaptors of this scenery, you're doing great!

Thanks for making this scenery worth the wait, because lots of initial issues are fixed already.

    Regards,

    Pat
