So now AES works as it should in VTB armi_tic project 2010, doesn't it?

  2. ZBAA needs something like this should you ever decide to tackle it (no one else seems to be interested)... Just thought I'd mention this as I'm impressed with the extra work your doing on this current project that most wouldn't even bother with.

    Hi Dillon,

I think ZBAA is HUGE! It seem to be an endless job if I do this airport at this level of detail. Nevertheless, I'll try to do that when I'm done with this airport.

  3. I'm sorry for any delay. I'm doing all the surrounding that you have to see during take off and landing at this airport. Please take a look. I think I'll done with this within two weeks by now.

  4. Are there anny news for this great porject?

I think I'll finish this project in April. I have sent the jetway gmax files to Oliver already. There are some more to do but not so many.

The free-ways around the airport. I hope I have more time to do traffic animation over those free ways.

    Expressway19R.jpg

    Expressway19R-1.jpg

At the center of apron around concourse D, there is a rack for containers and underground way to the phaseII.

    CentralRack.jpg

Detail of the underground pathway. But it is a fake one, since it is difficult to make underground pathway and gmax structure to cover it up. I made this by texture but it look almost like it is deep down.

    Detail10-1.jpg

    More service vehicles.

    serv1.jpg

One of those airport bus will be animated but not all of them.

    serv2.jpg

Some of catering and gas cars will be animated but just only a few since I don't want frame rate to drop. Now it is about 30 without any AI on my computer ( Core2 E7500 2.53 GH 9800GT Ram 2G)

  5. Hi Oliver,

I'd like to inform you that I'm done with the jetway and the scenery regarding to that. All the scenery is not done yet, but I'm happy to send you the scenery file and jetway including XML file that imply what lat, long of each jetway. I have checked all the jetway and no fault on those. The final product will have the same jetway and the positions of them will not change. So you can work on animations while I'm finishing this scenery. I also send you the e-mail but still no reply yet. Please let me know what you need more then.

    Regards,

    Tic

Thanks for the lead on Phuket. I tried to find it before with no luck. The link from Oliver's AES airport page is either broken, or possibly just not available from my location. I'll go looking again.

    Cheers,

    -Russ

    Hi Russ,

I'm sorry that I should have told you the link. You can download by visiting Thaiflight.com. http://www.thaifligh...ewtopic&t=38727 I'm sorry I cannot post direct link, since the webmaster told me not to do. It is written in Thai but you can have google translate it or just follow the first link you find. The download link is there.

BTW, you can see the progression of my project by this link http://www.thaiflight.com/mach/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=37663

Enjoy your flight to Phuket. Don't forget your sunblock and swimming suit.555!

About WMKK, I think it would be a very good project of mine. And I think I can do this faster than VTBS since it is not as complex as. But ZBAA, I think I have to find team to do the airport at this size. If I do this airport alone at the same level of detail, I really don't know how long it gonna take. May be in FS11 or FS12.

  7. jtanabodee,

That's very kind to offer a free upgrade to existing users. I appreciate it, but at the same time would have no problem paying a reduced "upgrade fee" to support the work. Especially, since I have gotten my money's worth from this version.

If Changgi is not in your future, how about Bali, Phuket, or Kuala Lumpur?

    Cheers,

    -Russ

    Hi Russ,

I think WMKK airport is very interesting. But I've never been there. Google Earth have the model that make me understand more about the buildings there. It is indeed very interesting airport. Do you know that anyone working on this airport? I did a search, very few information about this airport in flight sim world. I was wondering malaysian guys do not playing flight sim. Is it going to be hit?

BTW, Phuket is available now by Prasong. You can take a look at Thaiflight.com. Besides the scenery itself, AES is available in this airport. Very nice work.

    Regards,

    Tic

  8. Jtanabodee,

You would have to hurry as ImagineSim is predicting a March or April release for Changgi

Can't wait for your VTBS upgrade. Will current users get a break? Please :)

    Cheers,

    -Russ

Sorry to hear that. By that time I might just finised VTBS. Nevertheless, I'm still looking forward to Changi from ImagineSim. Their work on VHHH is very good.

This is for FS9 only and the next job of mine is to upgrade it to FSX.

I talked to Armi, the previous owner of this project, that the old customer will get upgrade for free and I agreed with him too.

I think sometimes in the next few weeks I'll be ready to send partially finished scenery and jetways in Gmax to AES.

  9. They did a superb job on VHHH and I'm really looking forward to Changgi too!

I wish I could do Changi Aiport, Singapore. But let me finish this one and upgrading this for FSX. Changi will be the next station of mine scenery train. But to do that need tons of pictures. This VTBS one of Thaiflight member sent me a DVD of photos they took before the airport opened. They have a good chance to access the area that we could not get to after the airport in use. Thanks to them, I will do the same way Kiwiwanabeu got the scenery. Hopefully, none will finish that before I start the new project.

  10. Hello, jtanabodee!

Wait a second, isn't it the scenery offered at SimMarket available since March 2009?

Yes, it is. But the old version has so poor performance. I adopted this scenery to correct the problem and add more detail to the airport.

The other Gatenumber is on the moving parts of the jetways (within the red area), here I will take care, that it is back with the AES Jetway, but the number must be part of the Jetway MDL's in this case, so that they are in the excluded area.

All the rest we should discuss via email, when I have seen the code on my screen and I can give you the info's you need.

The last quick question before I contact you via e-mail since I think this question will benefit other developer.

If I want gate number on the moving jetway I need separated mdl for each gate number. There are 51 gates in this airport and each of them has two jetways. That will add up to 102 mdl files!!!!!.

It is possible but very tedious job to do that. From my calculation, this will add 6Mb to my scenery file just only the jetways. I guess it will be your job to do that. I think my job is to add the gate number where you can exclude together with static gate, isn't it?

  11. Hi,

    1) it's important to seperate the static Jetway for the rest.

    2) I need a GMAX file or 3DS export (when 3Dmax is used) of the diffent types of Jetwaymodels you have in the senery.

Thank for the quick reply. I rearrage your reply to the most important keyword.

I'd like to ask something more about the jetway. Does the detail of the jetway have to be cut down to make animation? such as the gate number on the top of the jetway? I think that have to go away when AES comes to use. What I did is, I have separated single file for gate number on the top of jetway and the bridge. Do I need to separate them into two files, one for jetway and another for the bridge.

The second question is: How the frame rate it going to affect? So I can make rooms to spare for that effect.

(PS. My demo is not the same level of detail as the picture show. Since I released that quite sometime ago before I add more details.)

  12. Hi,

I'm developing VTBS Suvarnabhumi Airport in Thailand and I'd like to know what is need to be done to make the airport compatible with AES (if aerosoft want to add mine in the list). Do I need to compile jetway separately or do I need other things else?

I also attached my vtbs armi-tic project with this. Let you have a look:
