  1. I’d comment but you’d just delete my post again.
  2. I think people are mostly surprised stuff is released with a bug that could be discovered by loading the airport at night... once.
  3. I’m 100% sure P3D will be used a lot by me for the foreseeable future. I don’t think I’ll be spending a whole lot of time with MSFS this year.
  4. It’s great to hear you’re supporting legacy technology. Wondering about the shipping costs, though. Just the standard amount I hope? And will you sell a black-and-white edition of the sim for people with less hard disk space? Probably needs much fewer floppy disks, too.
  5. I have better FPS and fewer stutters in P3D v5 and from what I see on all P3D-related forums that is basically the experience most people are reporting. That is the biggest plus I'm seeing. The smoothness is amazing compared to 4.5 and adds a lot of immersion. Contrary to what you're claiming, Enhanced Atmospherics is clearly marked as "Beta" in P3D5's options and has been all along since release. I'm not sure why you're saying it isn't, when it clearly is. It literally flat out says "Beta" in brackets behind the option in the settings. What left me dumbfounded the most is the way you've been slagging off Lockheed for weeks now. I can't imagine what this is doing to your "excellent connections". But that is obviously your call to make. I just find it unprofessional to do this in public. Not exactly a classy thing to do. And don't get me wrong, I very much appreciate both you personally and Aerosoft in general. Your support, pricing and update policy are reasonable, and I appreciate that I'm allowed to criticize you once in a while, like I'm doing now. It's just so weird to me to see you publicly slam Lockheed and now even post blatant falsehoods about EA not being marked as Beta. I just... don't get it? We all have bad days once in a while I guess but yours has been going on for weeks now. Hope the stress level will go down again soon. Must have been a lot of work recently.
  6. That’s only an issue with Enhanced Atmospherics which Lockheed clearly states is still in beta. So here you are trying to ridicule them with a “funny” bug that’s affecting a feature that is in beta and that nobody is forced to even use? Wow. EA will come out of beta in 5.1 and LM never claimed it’s fully ready yet. You always have the option to use traditional sky and clouds. Claiming this is a general bug with v5 is just disingenuous on your part. The way you’re trying to throw Lockheed under the bus in recent weeks shows that Aerosoft is going to try and shift focus to MSFS I suppose but trash-talking a platform you’ve made a lot of money off is rather bizarre. You’ve missed no opportunity to talk about how unhappy you are with Lockheed (the SDK, bugs... etc.). Do you really feel like you should be doing this in public as a business? Trying to burn your bridges with LM in public? P3D5 has been very solid for me and looks fantastic. Hotfix 2 has solved most of the pressing bugs. I can’t even imagine going back to 4.5.
  7. Have you set the Bus to use Navigraph data in the configuration tool?
  8. How convenient... Using P3D5 without any shader addons. The windshield looks exactly the same for me as it did it 4.5. I’m pretty sure it’s what Dave said. It was just designed that way. I just find the effect a little overdone.
  9. I don’t think this is a problem specific to the user. I’ve also found the cockpit windows way too dark all along. It’s like looking through sunglasses and totally unlike any other aircraft addon. It is what it is but I’d love for it to change. It can feel quite irritating when you see the terrain through sunglasses and then see it in all its glory when going to an outside view.
  10. That did indeed fix the weird rectangular area! Thanks! Great customer support.
  11. In fact I've just found a Youtube review of that scenery in which that part doesn't look this bad: at 31:22. I can only assume something is wrong with my scenery.
  12. Yeah, I've seen that on the satellite image myself. I'm just wondering if the scenery really depicts this part THAT terribly with those straight lines. No other part of the scenery is this bad.
  13. I just bought Malpensa Professional yesterday, and while I'm generally happy with it, I found there's a weird rectangular patch of grass just in front of the threshold of 17L. It looks extremely unrealistic with its straight lines and I'm wondering whether this is what it is supposed to look like. See the light green rectangle on the right side of the picture. I don't see any ORBX compatibility issues in the forums so I don't think it's that? (I do not have ORBX Vector).
  14. I'm not expecting you to. I understand the situation you're in. And I wasn't implying that either, my dear.
  15. Many of your customers have switched, though. It is what it is.
  16. And I think the same applies to Napoli and Bologna? I know they’re pretty old but I’ve only bought them recently. And somehow it doesn’t seem MK and Aerosoft are interested in their previous collaborations.
  17. Shouldn't those be the same? The FMS says I'm 30 miles away, the display thinks it's much longer. The display is correct by the way.
  18. I've tried both, yeah. It makes some amount of difference. But I'm curious as to the results of your testing: Wouldn't you agree in its current state the autothrottle makes it a little too hard to do what I've described? I don't have experience in the real A330, I just noticed it's way more difficult than in, say, the competition A320 or any PMDG Boeing with autothrust. But again: I'm happy to consider other explanations (such as user error). Just trying to help here. because your A330 is honestly shaping up to be a great addon. I really enjoy it a lot.
  19. Thanks for getting back to us on that.
  20. Locked at 30 frames and stable. (i9-9900k with a 2080ti) No issues there.
  21. Gah, can’t believe I forgot to mention that important piece of information, haha. I have this issue in the A330 which is the only Aerosoft Bus I own. (Great plane by the way!) It seems to me like the engines start spooling up again before I’ve even fully slowed down to my target speed. And even if I get rid of my speedbrakes then, the engine can’t spool down fast enough to hold the speed. Instead the plane accelerates.
  22. I feel like the autothrust logic in combination with speedbrake usage isn’t working as well as it probably should. when you’re using the speedbrake to reduce speed with the autothrust in idle, the autothrust system will start increasing thrust too early and too strongly it seems. So I often have to do this dance: 1) speedbrakes out 2) reaching my target speed I retract the speedbrakes but the autothrust system has already started increasing the thrust way too much. 3) by the time the speedbrakes are retracted, I’m way above my target speed again because the autothrust has spooled up so much, that even a fast spool-down can’t avoid me being way above my target speed. Result: I start the dance again by extending speed brakes again. I don’t have this issue in most other planes so I’m wondering if the systems logic can be improved here. Also happy to hear other ideas.
  23. According to the FlyTampa forums you certainly surprised the original developer doing that.

  25. I don't even get this far. I click on charts, it says it wants me to log in but no browser window opens and I get an immediate crash to desktop. Honestly, at this point I'd just like to do one single flight in the CRJ without having some major issue.
