  1. @ Tom , Seems that I didn't make myself clear enough with regards to WizzAir . As this is a new paintscheme then it is a different matter than EasyJet or Germanwings as no-one has already painted this livery , it just means waiting for more photographs to be made and during daylight hours as the colours " may " have changed when compared to the previous livery . Same applied to the recent repaint of EI-DEO , as the aircraft has just been repainted there are few ( high definition ) photo's to be found . Good news though , someone has already painted this livery and it is available on AVSIM . I don't have a link but searching the " What's new " section , or just searching for " Aer Lingus " will give the desired result .
  2. As with the requests posted above , liveries such as EasyJet / Germanwings have been covered by Holgi and others already , so the " easiest " way is to contact the original painter . The reason : searching for logo's , fonts is also time consuming and the original painter has these already . I and I know DetCord feels the same , for other painters to also make paints for these airlines is like having to re-invent the wheel , as in many cases it is just a question of changing the registation ( and VC textures ) . Sharing PSD textures is not something I am willing to do and I am sure that other painters feel the same ( would give away too many secrets ) . Painting an entire A32X fleet is also an option as I have in the past ( Aer Lingus ) and have just completed paints for Vietnam Airlines ( 47 ) and Cambodia Angkor ( 4 ) . Why do this ? This means that I do not have to keep endless lists of fonts used , what size and how many degrees they were rotated for the wing textures and so on . The drawback is that these are too large for a single download and a lot of work to upload one by one . For Vietnam ( at the moment ) will upload the oldest and newest of their fleet as the liveries are different . As for WizzAir my comment was going to be the same but as this is a new livery I assume that there are no ( high definition ) photo's taken in daylight yet available ( and the final registration used ) .
  3. The reason for the ( many ) uploads is simple , I love painting but hate the uploading part , so save them and upload in one go . As for the Corporate Jets , there just aren't that many in the real world ( 20 - 30 at most ) and a few have already been made . Another point was that after downloading the paintkit ( more than once ) the Elite CJ kit wasnt included , so spent a couple of day making my own , only to discover after reading a few old posts ( recommended for other forum members too ) that Aerosoft had uploaded the ( in ) complete paintkit more than once but I still had to download the entire paintkit before I could use it or even check it . Even then some aspects still had to be altered The A318 and 319 are just not as " popular " with the airlines as the A320 / 321 as ( for example ) there are only some 5 or 6 airlines using the A319 , now compare that to the larger versions . Even after 5 years there are still A32X paints that haven't been made or ( in my case ) never uploaded . Following these paints will be Vietnam Airlines and Cambodia Angkor Air , after that , who knows .
  4. My ( one and only ) foray into the Corporate Jet paints , as there just aren't that many to start with . Here is N777UE used by Universal Entertainment . N777UE http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/files/file/3445-airbus-a318-elite-cj-cfm-universal-n777ue/
  5. 5 more uploads : N703UW http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/files/file/3440-airbus-a319-cfm-american-airlines-n703uw-version2/ N766US http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/files/file/3441-airbus-a319-cfm-american-airlines-n766us/ N809AW http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/files/file/3442-airbus-a319-iae-american-airlines-n809aw/ N835AW http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/files/file/3443-airbus-a319-iae-american-airlines-n835aw-version2/ N530NK http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/files/file/3444-airbus-a319-iae-spirit-airlines-n530nk/
  6. A few screens of the next " Work in Progress " , Cambodia Angkor Air , will include all 4 aircraft but am waiting for the selcal codes as the one I have ( for XU-348 ) doesn't seem to be correct .
  7. Since DetCord recently updated his A319 / 320 American Airlines paints , here are the A321's . N911UY has also been re-registered as N971UY and now fully " marked " as a US Airways legacy aircraft . Fault in the aircraft.cfg has now been rectified , it seems that I should do more as far as " Quality Control " is concerned . 8. As I wrote earlier , making the Vietnam airlines fleet , I came across a few that had been leased to other airlines VN-A351 being leased to Cambodia . They also have their own A321 so will paint that as well . Now in the process of looking for the " correct " colours , the majoir pain is the " white " they used for the front part of the fuselage . By the way , John is enough !
  9. @ Baltalon , is on my " to do " list after the airline below ( after all they did lease a couple from them ) . Latest " WORK IN PROGRESS " Vietnam Airlines . A repaint I originally made for the AirbusX , now being made for the latest version . This is the latest livery as they resized the " Vietnam Airlines " logo but the older version is still in use on some of the older aircraft . This is my template for the rest of the fleet ( only 47 to go ) .
  10. @ Fabio , Posts #10 + #11 http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/topic/90530-livery-request/ John
  11. Just uploaded N361VA " jersey girl " Virgin America's A320 CFM with sharklets . http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/files/file/3414-airbus-a320-cfm-virgin-america-n361va-jersey-girl-sharklets/ John
  12. As with most repaints containing clean & dirty versions the end user has to choose which version to install . This is best done by NOT using the Livery manager ( LM ) but simply unzipping and installing by hand . If after attempting to install using the LM and this does not work , unzipping the download would provide you with the texture folders and readme text . John
  13. Are you referring to this download regarding the " bad quality " ? : http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/files/file/3171-airbus-a320-cfm-transavia-france-f-hbnl/ If so , do let me ( and others ) know what you consider to be bad about it , maybe I can correct it . Each download also has the option to place a review and all I have seen so far for this paint are positive . John

  16. @ Ice .... You do realise that this is a request forum . IF a paint is made be happy , if not fly something else , it's not as though there a so few repaints available . By constantly bumping or reposting your " request " will ( more than ) likely diminish the chances of such a paint ever being made . One " request " is enough , it has been seen and noted . In the previous AirbusX Extended forum a " request " for a certain airline took up several pages and created a " bad feeling " towards those making the request . Hopefully , that is not going to happen here . John
  17. Doing research for Airbus paints I sometimes come across unusual or " forgotten " airlines . Currently working on another " historical " Airbus A320 , namely N901BN ( c/n 052 ) flown by Braniff in the late eighties . Later flew as N620AW for American West . Seems that Braniff went the same way as British Caledonian , though their plans for the future were a lot grander ( Braniff's ) to say the least as they thought of using the SST ( who remembers that ? ) . Anyway here are some screenshots of my " Work in Progress " and needless to say that changes can ( or will ) be made before uploading . Ofcourse anyone with information ( or pictures ) of N901BN ( or the others in the series ) can contact me here with a PM . John
  18. Latest uploads 2 Air Macau repaints . B-MAH http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/files/file/3251-airbus-a320-iae-air-macau-b-mah/ B-MAF http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/files/file/3252-airbus-a321-iae-air-macau-b-maf/ John
  19. @ Otto , I am aware that being a moderator is not an easy task but cannot understand why you had to react in this way . The poster asked for help with the paintkit and although not a paint request is ( at least ) painting related . If no one had answered his questions , others would think he was being ignored . As the download links I have placed in the previous pages are not ( always ) related to any requests maybe they should be removed as well ? There are other things that should be of concern , one of them being the hotlinking of copyrighted photographs in this forum . I pointed this out in #36 and was voted down for it even though my comment was correct . See page 16 of this thread for an example . If sites such as Airliners.net decide to disable the downloading of their photo's , how can painters like myself get our source material ? Not every painter has access to the airside of an airport ( if any ) . On another note I am at a loss to understand why my post #574 has been marked as Best Answer . Best answer to what ? Can this be removed ? John
  20. Without knowing which programmes you are using for painting / saving and creating DDS textures no one can help you . As far as more details , have you looked at other paints ? Do they have more detail than yours ? Are you saving using mipmaps ? If you are thinking of increasing the size of the texture sheets themselves , try it and see if it makes any difference . Don't forget to alter the FSX.cfg to allow larger texture sizes or it will be for nothing . Also every time you change any settings in FSX you have to alter the texture size as well or it reverts back to 1024 . John
  21. For the AirbusX ( and all later versions ) you do not have to flip the textures when saving . With the A318/319 you DO have to flip the textures . John
  22. The short answer is NO , there aren't any tutorials on how to paint the Airbus ( all versions ) . There is a PDF with the paintkit . The only way you can " learn " is to actually try using the paintkit ( since you have only found it today ) . Just remember to make backups before you begin , you cannot break anything by making a repaint . The only advice I can give is first to create a TEST ( blank ) livery for each model and place your repaints in these folders to try them out in FSX . Pay a visit to the Painters forum at AVSIM ( you will have to register ( free ) ) to post , where there are tutorials on painting in general . John
  23. Still working through a list of repaints that were never uploaded , this time Sichuan Airlines with 4 paints . In this series are an A320 IAE with and without Sharklets and A321 IAE with and without Sharklets . B-6323 http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/files/file/3213-airbus-a320-iae-sichuan-b-6323/ B-9935 http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/files/file/3214-airbus-a320-iae-sharklet-sichuan-b-9935/ B-6285 http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/files/file/3215-airbus-a321-iae-sichuan-b-6285/ B-9967 http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/files/file/3216-airbus-a321-iae-sharklet-sichuan-b-9967/ John
  24. Yes they have textures in the paintkits , by switching those layers " OFF " you then have a blank aircraft . The textures in the paintkits help you to see what goes where . Also helpful if you want to paint a complete fleet of an airline featured in the paintkit - all you have to do is create your own registrations . John
  25. Can't take all the credit Jeroen , DetCord started with the paints as it was his idea , I just added the finishing touches . There are also two versions of the SAS retro livery ( OY-KBO ) in the downloads section . There is another reason for the " lack " of A318 paints and that is the lack of A318's in the real world . For example I just checked on Airliners.net ( just one of many sites with photographs ) and there are 4585 A318 photo's against 74338 A319 photo's ( not to mention the A320 / 321 ) . Searching for photo's of A318's in Norway there are 3 , two of which are Air France , the other an ACJ . John
