  1. There's no need to apologise .

It's just that Aerosoft haven't even finished the model / exterior yet , so a paint kit is ( probably ) a long way off . Add to this the only people who will have access to a paint kit will be involved in the project , us mere mortals will have to wait until after the release . As for the A330 paint wish list , just about every airline using it , past , present and future have already been named and it will be highly unlikely that any airlines " will be forgotten " .

  2. Having done further research American have 55 A320's still in service , of these , 32 are IAE's , all are ex- America West / US Airways . The oldest , N640AW was built in 1993 ( 23 years old ) and the youngest , N680AW in 2005 ( 10 years old ) .

It seems that retrofitting sharklets costs something in the region of $950.000 ( Google ) on aircraft that were built after 2010 , before this date the wings have to be strengthened  by replacing the outermost 19 of the ( in total ) 27 ribs ( in each wing ) . The plus side is the increased range and fuel savings of between $ 350.000 and $400.000 per year , so it would be in the region of 3 years ( or longer ) before they " break even " on the outlay .

As this is a flight sim and not real life will upload two paints , N654AW - already repainted IRL  ( N655AW was unable to find he selcal code ) and N680AW with sharklets - still flying in US Airways livery ( and non-sharklet ) .

    Hello,

I have been searching everywhere for this American paint .Does anyone have it?

    American Airlines A320 IAE-Sharklets

    Thank you

I don't know why DetCord left out the A320 IAE versions but at the time there were no A320's painted in the " new " American livery at all , so any paints made at that time were pure fantasy anyway . Looking at their fleet list there are no " sharklet " versions ordered by American ( at this time ) .

Currently working on N655AW c/n 1075 which is an A320 IAE and it's possible to create two versions ( with & without sharklets ) . Will post a preview in the near future .

  4. @ hrulz ,

At the moment the only thing that is certain for Virgin's latest , is the registration and construction number according to : http://www.planespotters.net/ there are also no photographs available of the airframe . If Virgin are in the process of re-branding then they may use the same paint scheme as they use with Virgin Atlantic with the airline name written on the underside as well .

With The Delta A321 it's just a question of waiting for a couple of pre-delivery shots from the same site linked to above for the size and location of the Delta logo and the fleet number ( possibly 3201 ) .

Will just have to wait and see .

  5. @ Erling ,

To make myself clear , when I find a selcal code , I add it , even though it is a minor detail , the same applies to any other small details that are included in my paints . As in your pictures the tag plate shown is totally different to what is seen in other cockpit photo's as it also shows the msn number ( though in some of my AirbusX paints I also added this ) .

When Bryan ( DetCord ) contacted me concerning his American paints and then later with Scandanavian , this is one of the first things we decided on , to add as much detail as possible ( staying within the limits of the paint kit ) . The only drawback to this is the information ( e.g. photo's ) that is readily available ( on the net ) and of a high enough quality , or as you have done by providing codes and such .

I haven't heard from Bryan ( at this time ) but as he is a serving member of the US military this could have to do with his " other " duties , I have started with a " template " for both the A320 and A321 ( still have the tailfin to do ) , unfortunately anything that was used in the making of the A319 paints has to be ( in most cases ) resized or redrawn .

  6. My " go to " sites for fleet information and selcal codes are usually very helpful but not always . In the case of the selcal codes most of these ( shown above ) are not listed . Looking at the fleet information it seems that although these aircraft have only been in the SAS fleet since 2012 / 2013 , they are in fact much older having flown with other airlines in the past . The average " age " for the A320's is some 10 years and the A321's 13 years . This may be the reason that no selcal codes are listed as I assume that these codes are not hard coded to a particular aircraft and have more to do with the airline itself .

it's all academic anyway as the selcal code has no real function in the sim and is a merely " eye candy " when seen in the cockpit . Add to this the lack of ( available ) photo's taken in the cockpit , or in the ones that are available the angles where no registration / selcal is visible .

  7. By pure coincidence I mentioned this to Bryan earlier today , have as yet not received an answer . Looking at their A320 / 321 fleet it is some 21 aircraft , so is certainly possible . For some reason most of the SELCAL codes for the A320's are not published .

I know that several A320's & A321's have already been uploaded but although I tried searching for the registrations already made ( someone should have a look at that as the search function is seriously messed up ) was unable to find them but as I don't intend to download them did not search page by page .

  8. The intention was to upload these paints to coincide with the release of Prague Airport ( have been a " work in progress " since 2012 ) . Due to the loss of two external hard drives have had to start from scratch ( again ) and now have three versions starting with the Holidays / CSA livery from 2011 . Holidays / CSA livery with 75 years ( Prague Airport ) logo  from 2012 and finally with Travel Service markings from 2015 .
