  3. You do realise that by posting copyrighted photographs , you are in violation of the terms of these sites . It is perfectly okay to download these pictures for your own use but hot linking ( as you have done ) is not . The Mods here are having a full time job removing these pictures as in a worst case scenario it could cost Aerosoft money as in fines . When it is no longer possible for painters to access these same pictures for reference , how do you expect any repaints will be made ?
  4. @hrulz I already have that bookmarked and Flickr is normally my go-to site for high res pictures but recently a lot of these photo's can no longer be downloaded without having to sign up with another site . One of the first pictures shows N301DN with pre-delivery ( temporary ) German registration . I'm certain that other painters will benefit from your link too . Before I forget it seems that the story of the A321 ordered by Virgin America , is just that , a story ( for now ) . The registration and construction number given , N286VA c/n 6939 has been allocated to an A320 and N362VA c/n 6965 is to follow , so apparently no A321 for Virgin America at this time .

Apart from the fact that there are TWO EasyJet A320 sharklet repaints available in the " new " livery , your post is not really going to motivate others to make a paint that could fall short of your expectations . Don't forget that anyone uploading a livery for the A318/319/320/321 does not work for Aerosoft ( or you ) and does so in their free time and at no cost . If a livery " is not good enough " , simply delete it and move on . If your " request " had just been for an EasyJet livery with a certain registration , that would have been at least more " friendlier " without having to mention the accuracy ( your opinion ) of what is already available . I am sure that both uploaders will now be wondering what is " wrong " with their work ( to be perfectly clear : this is sarcasm ) . Creating a livery is not 5 minutes work , it involves several hours or weeks of work , only for you to comment that it is " not very accurate " . Seems that you have two choices , either donate to Holgi's new PC and request an " accurate " EasyJet livery from him , or break out the virtual paint brushes and create your own " better / improved / accurate " version .
  6. There's no need to apologise . It's just that Aerosoft haven't even finished the model / exterior yet , so a paint kit is ( probably ) a long way off . Add to this the only people who will have access to a paint kit will be involved in the project , us mere mortals will have to wait until after the release . As for the A330 paint wish list , just about every airline using it , past , present and future have already been named and it will be highly unlikely that any airlines " will be forgotten " .

  8. Having done further research American have 55 A320's still in service , of these , 32 are IAE's , all are ex- America West / US Airways . The oldest , N640AW was built in 1993 ( 23 years old ) and the youngest , N680AW in 2005 ( 10 years old ) . It seems that retrofitting sharklets costs something in the region of $950.000 ( Google ) on aircraft that were built after 2010 , before this date the wings have to be strengthened by replacing the outermost 19 of the ( in total ) 27 ribs ( in each wing ) . The plus side is the increased range and fuel savings of between $ 350.000 and $400.000 per year , so it would be in the region of 3 years ( or longer ) before they " break even " on the outlay . As this is a flight sim and not real life will upload two paints , N654AW - already repainted IRL ( N655AW was unable to find he selcal code ) and N680AW with sharklets - still flying in US Airways livery ( and non-sharklet ) .

I don't know why DetCord left out the A320 IAE versions but at the time there were no A320's painted in the " new " American livery at all , so any paints made at that time were pure fantasy anyway . Looking at their fleet list there are no " sharklet " versions ordered by American ( at this time ) . Currently working on N655AW c/n 1075 which is an A320 IAE and it's possible to create two versions ( with & without sharklets ) . Will post a preview in the near future .
  11. Don't forget when these tails were " new " most people had just simple camera's ( not counting professional's ) and certainly no megapixel digital SLR's . Most photo's I came across were very low-res ( 640 X 480 !! ) or scanned from slides . Much as I would like to continue with the World Tails , some ( such as Water Dreaming ) entail having to drawn the same thing on 3 different scales ( tailfin , tail section and the doors on the tail section ) and even then having to match everything up as well . The Benyhone ( tartan ) was " hard " enough ( and I had to use " painters license " to finish it ) !! EDIT : I am using DetCord's screenshot as my screensaver now as well !
  12. @ hrulz , At the moment the only thing that is certain for Virgin's latest , is the registration and construction number according to : http://www.planespotters.net/ there are also no photographs available of the airframe . If Virgin are in the process of re-branding then they may use the same paint scheme as they use with Virgin Atlantic with the airline name written on the underside as well . With The Delta A321 it's just a question of waiting for a couple of pre-delivery shots from the same site linked to above for the size and location of the Delta logo and the fleet number ( possibly 3201 ) . Will just have to wait and see .
