  1. @ Goair ,

The screenshots placed by ny " colleague " painter do not resemble the paint in its current form , as this is the paint from the Alpha paintkit and I am now working on the Beta version .

I am also correcting some " faults " as show in the screens .

    @ Gaura ,

At least in the future , let me make up my own mind whether to place screenshots of my work , as the screenshots that are placed in the ( closed ) painters forum are just that - closed .

When I have updated the Monarch paints - old & new colours I will post them myself .

After your remarks about another painters rendition of the Spirit paint ( page 14 ) , I am truly surprised that you would even ask someone else to redo the same paint . Constructive comments are one thing but to ask if the paint has been made using a low specs computer is another . We only post screenshots of the Airbus to show YOU and others what progress and with which paints - that YOU and others have requested . Maybe we should reconsider this and not post any screenshots at all and then YOU and everybody else can wait until the Airbus is released .

Just my 2 eurocents worth .

  3. Before Guara " volunteers " to do the Aegean paint , this is one that I am working on at the moment ( both 321 & 320 ) . The A321 was almost finished but we are now working with the Beta paintkit and some things have to be changed ( nothing major ) but this is time consuming . This also applies to the other paints that I ( and others ) are working on , as the tail and powerplant are basically the same , it just means re-drawing the paint scheme ( where needed ) , to fit the new texture sheet ( for the A320 ) .

When we started ( with the A321 ) ,we were working with a list , so that everyone knew which paints were being made and by who , for the A320 we haven't made such a list ( as yet ) but it is logical that the same painter could do both versions .

Screenshots will be placed shortly .

EDIT 1 : For the people still commenting on the upper wing colour . Here is a link to a photo showing the colour difference in direct sunlight on one aircraft , the starboard wing clearly showing the reflection of the fuselage onto the wing , wheras the port wing is in shadow showing a totally different shade of grey.

    Link: http://www.airliners...0-214/0821448/L

EDIT 2 : A note the the previous poster ( A320 ) , try reading this post from page 1 , as most of the liveries in your list have already be mentioned and / or painted .

  4. Nothing much to add to Jan Kees's post above except to add my list of repaints :

    Aer Lingus , Air Jamaica ( 2 versions ) , Atlas - Blue , Czech Airlines , Dragonair , LTU , Monarch ( old & new livery ) , Onur Air ( old & new livery , plus Aero -Lloyd transition livery ) and Vietnam Airlines . This can also be doubled with a " clean " & " dirty " version .

Someone also commented on the upper wing colours , but also as Jan Kees stated we are working with the paintkit as supplied by Aerosoft and for repaints we have to rely on sites such as Airliners.net for source material . Most often photo's of aircraft are taken from the side or below , so we don't normally see the upper surface and to base the colour on 1 or 2 photo's is not enough ( take into account the time of day - were filters used - into the sun - reflections from the aircraft - etc , etc - in short there are too many factors ) .

  5. @ SBlauw ,

We will await your ( better ) version of the control tower shortly . When will it be ready ?? Do you have a release date in mind ?? And anyway , how often will you be looking at the tower whilst flying ??

I remeber the forums at Cloud 9 being full of such drivel . It was no wonder to me that they did not bring any newer versions on the market . Hopefully Aerosoft will not pat any attention to such posts .

What is next , the grass is too high / wrong colour ? Or have they re-paved any runways ? Maybe you should spend your time counting the cars in the car park .

It's obvious that " Mister Blue " won't be buying this product , as he is is not satisfied with the level of detail and will continue to use the default Schiphol included in FS X ( which has a control tower that really looks like the real thing ) !

As a painter ( currently working on the Airbus 321 ) , I receive similar comments , which are not constructive and have no use at all - except in the negative . The last comment I received was " needs some work " but did not state what that work was - very helpful .

Hats off to the guys making this add-on and the rest of us will wait for the release ( with or witout a new improved control tower - NOT ) .

  6. We are working with a list ( and it is a long list ) of all the operators who use the A321 , so some airlines will not be included . Another point is finding detailed photo's of the aircraft , especially where text is involved ( think of chinese and arabic characters - we don't want to offend anyone ) !

  7. @ luvairbus ,

I assume your post was directed to me , as I think there are a lot of people on this forum called " Flight Attendant " .

The reason is quite simple , I did not know that they were no longer flying until after I started . Not everybody is well informed as to which planes are no longer flying . I have in the past made repaints and then discovered that the aircraft has since crashed ( with or without loss of life ) . Such a paint will not then be uploaded .

If I have to check out if an aircraft is still " current " with every paint I do , there would be no time left to paint anything .

You still have not answered my question as to the reason for posting your photo , my rendition was not a fantasy , this aircraft flew with the engines painted with the mational flag , just search for 6Y-JME .

  8. @ luvairbus ,

    And your point is ????

I personally thought that this paint looked better than just pasting a flag onto the engine . This paint scheme is from 2004 / 2005 going by the photo's I used ( from Airliners.net ) . From what I understand most of the fleet is no longer flying for Air Jamaica , even the white version ( photo is dated Feb 2009 ) I am working on is no longer there , and is now flying for a Turkish charter .

  9. Here are three of my efforts so far . Ar least I will make two posters on the forum happy !

    1. Air Jamaica 6Y-JME ( paint is circa 2004 / 2005 ) .

    2. Dragonair B-HTH .

    3. Aer Lingus EI-CPE .

Also working on the all white Air Jamaica 6Y-JMD . These are still " work{s} in progress " , so may differ from the final paint .
